An air atomizing nozzle assembly for electrostatic spray guns is disclosed. The nozzle assembly includes an air cap having a central bore which surrounds a fluid tip nozzle. The bore has a plurality of axially aligned holes evenly spaced about its circumference and intersecting the edge thereof thereby defining a plurality of uniformly dimensioned, circumferentially spaced axial gas flow passages with spaced, radially extending ribs therebetween. The ribs between the holes engage the outside diameter of the nozzle to align its center axis on the axis of the central bore. The air cap and nozzle tip thus cooperate to form a plurality of uniform gas flow passages around the nozzle thereby producing a uniform atomizing air flow pattern around the nozzle. The air cap is retained in a one-piece resilient retaining ring by snapping the air cap into position over an annular lip of the ring. This liquid flows as a film to the edge 12 and is broken up by the air flowing between the tubes and past that edge. The plates 17 may impose a counter-rotation of air. The parts 10, 17 and 18 are detachable from the parts 13, 15 and 19.

A spray paint gun having a disposable cartridge inserted therein such that paint can flow through the cartridge in the spray gun without touching the spray gun. Since no part of the spray gun has paint touching it, there is no cleaning of the spray gun or its components. The cartridges can be easily inserted into the spray gun and easily removed such that different color paints can be used in the spray gun in quick succession without down time for cleaning. There is no use of solvents for cleaning, making the cartridge spray gun environmentally friendly. The disposable cartridges eliminate expensive time consuming cleaning. The cartridges can be breach loaded into the front portion of a spray gun and front portion containing the cartridge can quickly snapped into place and ready for use by a hinged connection to the rear portion or by other connection means.

The material can be produced by mixing a first reactive component comprising a resin and a filler with a second reactive component comprising a curing agent. The filler can comprise a hard filler and/or an elastic filler such as ground recycled tire material. The first reactive component and the second reactive component can be fed to a dispensing apparatus and mixed by a static mixer, each of which can be disposable. The mixture can then be dispensed onto a surface using air spray, airless spray or extrusion, for example. When applied to a surface, the mixture typically polymerizes and entrains the filler materials to provide a protective layer having improved properties. In certain embodiments, the filler materials can include recycled tires that have been ground into fine particles, providing environmentally friendly new products from old tires that typically end up as landfill.

A liquid spray gun platform adapted to cause liquid to be sprayed by a detachable compatible spray head assembly having a liquid port , a nozzle , and a liquid passageway for conveying liquid from the liquid port to the nozzle such that liquid drawn through the liquid port in use is delivered to the nozzle in the compatible spray head assembly without passing through the spray gun platform , the liquid spray gun platform comprising:a frame comprising a barrel interface configured to receive the compatible spray head assembly;an air supply manifold contained within the frame, the air supply manifold comprising an inlet port;a fan control air passage in fluid communication with the air supply manifold, the fan control air passage extending through the frame from an inlet end at the air supply manifold to an outlet end at the barrel interface;a center air passage in fluid communication with the air supply manifold, the center air passage extending through the frame from an inlet end at the air supply manifold to an outlet end at the barrel interface;wherein the fan control air passage comprises a volume that is larger than a volume of the center air passage;wherein the liquid spray gun platform is free of liquid passageways for conveying liquid to be sprayed by the compatible spray head assembly.2. A liquid spray gun platform according to claim 1 , wherein the volume of the fan control air passage is 120% or more of the volume of the center air passage.3. A process for spraying a liquid an atomizing device comprising the steps of:(i) introducing the liquid into the atomizing device comprising (a) an atomizer nozzle tip configured to spray atomized liquid, wherein the atomizer nozzle tip has an entrance, (b) a liquid nozzle configured to create a full or a hollow cone spray, (c) a central lance tube connected to the liquid nozzle, (d) a liquid inlet configured to feed liquid to the central lance tube, (e) an air transition cone disposed at the entrance of the atomizer nozzle tip and integral with the atomizer nozzle tip, wherein the air transition cone surrounds in a circular manner the liquid nozzle and defines a co-current ring between the air transition cone and the liquid nozzle for receiving gas, (f) a housing having (i) a converging air header, and (ii) at least one air inlet for supplying gas as a co-current ring around the liquid nozzle between the liquid nozzle and the air transition cone, and (g) a high shear zone disposed at the entrance of the atomizer nozzle tip, wherein droplets from the liquid nozzle converge with gas from the converging air header at a volume ratio of gas to liquid sprayed from the liquid nozzle of 100:1 to 8000:1, and wherein the position of the liquid nozzle is configured to be adjustable from within to out of the air transition cone toward the atomizer nozzle tip; and(ii) spraying the liquid in a form of droplets through the atomizer nozzle tip by providing gas through the at least one air inlet.2. Attached to the piston is a clean-out plunger that extends through an ingredient delivery tube into the inner nozzle orifice as the piston reciprocates, thereby cleaning and unclogging the inner orifice. Displacement of the piston is caused by compressed control air supplied through two air ports in the cylinder on opposite sides of the piston. Reciprocation of the piston can be initiated by a timer or by a manual override.

Изобретение относится к сопловым реакторам и способам их использования, в частности для крекинга углеводородов. В реакторе обеспечивается взаимодействие между первым и вторым исходными материалами. Корпус реактора имеет канал с впускным концом и выпускным концом. Реактор оснащен инжектором для первого материала, имеющим канал для инжекции первого материала. Инжектор установлен в реакторе в сообщении с впускным концом корпуса реактора. Канал для инжекции первого материала имеет впускную секцию увеличенного объема, выпускную секцию увеличенного объема и среднюю секцию уменьшенного объема. Канал для инжекции первого материала имеет конец для впуска материала и конец для выпуска материала, соединенные с возможностью инжекции с каналом корпуса реактора. В корпусе реактора выполнено сопловое отверстие для подачи второго материала. Отверстие расположено рядом с концом для выпуска материала канала для инжекции первого материала и поперек осевой линии канала для инжекции первого материала, вытянутой от конца для впуска материала и конца для выпуска материала в канале для инжекции первого материала.
