Verfahren zur Herstellung eines verzinkten und mit einem Kunststoff beschichteten Stahlrohrs, bei welchem zunächst das Stahlrohr mit Zink galvanisch beschichtet und danach auf die Zinkschicht eine Passivierungsschicht auf Basis dreiwertiger Chromverbindungen aufgetragen wird, wonach in einem Tauchbad auf die Passivierungsschicht ein Epoxidharz-Haftvermittler appliziert, thermisch getrocknet sowie ausgehärtet wird, und dass dann das derart behandelte Rohr mit einem Polymer beschichtet wird, gekennzeichnet durch folgende Merkmale: a) Entfetten und Reinigen des verzinkten und passivierten Stahlrohrs in einem wässrigen Medium; b) Heißlufttrocknen des gereinigten Stahlrohrs; c) Applizieren eines wasserbasierten Epoxidharz-Haftvermittlers; d) Vorerwärmen des derart behandelten Stahlrohrs unmittelbar vor dem Beschichten mit einem Polymer; e) Beschichten des vorbehandelten Stahlrohrs mit einem Polyamid-11 oder Polyamid-12 durch Extrusion; f) Abkühlen des mit dem Polyamid beschichteten Stahlrohrs in einem Wasserbad; g) Qualitätsprüfen des mit dem Polyamid beschichteten und abgekühlten Stahlrohrs. Furthermore, this drawn and ironed can can be used without an inner lacquer coating after forming.

A method for forming a fluororesin film on a metallic substrate is described, which method comprising forming a chromium oxide film on at least one side of a metallic substrate and then forming a fluororesin film on the chromium oxide film. By this, good adhesion of the fluororesin film to the substrate is ensured. Further, when the fluororesin film is degraded, the film is readily removed without damaging the substrate and a fresh fluororesin film can be again formed on the substrate through a fresh chromium oxide film so that the substrate keeps it original dimensional precision and may be used semi-permanently.

A method and apparatus for galvanized pipe and other formed sections which sometimes include reentrant angles and strapping. The pipe and other sections are sized and hot dipped in a bath of molten zinc at a temperature of about 850 DEG F. (450 DEG C.) and then controlled for thickness with an air knife. The molten zinc is cooled at a rate of 20 DEG -70 DEG /second by an air blast or an air amplifier to solidify the zinc coating before the formation of more than 0.00008'' to 0.00018'' of intermetallic compound to form a layer of zinc from 0.0004'' to 0.0008'' in thickness. The zinc is water quenched without the formation of spangles and plastic coated with a layer of polyesters, vinyl alkyds or fluorocarbons, from 0.002'' to 0.006'', resulting in a coated steel that does not develop extensive rust corrosion in less than 1000 hours in a neutral salt spray. The formed product meets ASTM A-525 specifications and is designated G-30 or G-60 according to the thickness of the zinc layer.

Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to a highly corrosion-resistant surface-treated steel plate. The steel plate of the present invention comprises a zinc deposition or zinc allov deposition film as the undercoat deposition layer, a chromate film formed on the undercoat deposition layer and a film of a resin composition formed on the chromate film. This resin composition comprises a base resin formed by adding at least one basic nitrogen atom and at least two primary hydroxyl groups to terminals of an epoxy resin. The resin composition may comprise a polyisocyanate compound as the curing agent. Furthermore, the resin composition may comprise silica or a hardly soluble chromium compound as the additive for improving the corrosion resistance. Moreover, the resin composition may comprise a silane compound as the crosslinking agent for the base resin and silica.

CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step of forming a chromate coating film to an adhesion quantity of 20 to 100 mg/m¬2 on the surface of hot dip galvanized strip; a step of forming a lower paint layer by coating an epoxy or polyester resin based paint solution on the chromate coating film; a step of manufacturing a steel color painted strip by coating a polyester resin based paint solution on the lower paint layer, thereby forming an upper paint layer on the lower paint layer; a step of mechanically processing the steel color painted strip into a work for soundproofing wall; and a step of treating a part exposed by the processing in one method selected from the group consisting of transparent paint coating, phosphate treatment, chromate treatment and electrodeposition coating methods, wherein the transparent paint coating method is performed by squeezing or spray method, the phosphate treatment method is carried out in an ordinary manner, the chromate treatment method is performed for 10 to 90 seconds, and the electrodeposition coating method is performed to form an electrodeposition coating layer by impressing voltage of 100 to 400 volts.

The chromate layer containing up to 70% of Cr 6+ based on the total chromium weight is coated in a weight of 5 to 500 mg/m 2 of Cr. The organic composite layer is formed to a dry weight of 0.2 to 3.0 g/m 2 from a coating composition comprising (A) a silica sol having silica dispersed in an organic solvent with a water content of up to 3.0%, the silica having an organic deposit on its surface in an amount of up to 5.0% of C based on the total silica weight, the silica having an average particle size of 0.05 to 3.0 μm and a specific surface area of 50 to 800 m 2 /g, and (B) an organic resin binder having a number average molecular weight of at least 2,000. The coated strips are suitable for use as automobile bodies by press forming.

A powder coating method and a coating primer thereof are provided to prevent a coating film from being peeled off from the surface of a part even during bending or secondary processing, by fully filling up a part cracked during a part plating process, with a plating solution. In a coating primer treating process of a powder coating method, a coating primer produced by diluting each one of hexamethyl disilazane, hexamethyl disiloxane, vinyltrimethoxy silane, and vinyltrimethyl silane with acetone is poured into a coating primer pretreatment tank, and then products finished through raw material pouring, dewatering, and drying processes are dipped in the coating primer for 7~10 seconds. In a drying process, the products dipped in the coating primer for 7~10 seconds are collected and the collected products are dried in a drying compartment kept at 100~120°C for 30 minutes. The dried products are hung on a rack and a coating layer is formed by coating the product with epoxy powder over 50 micrometers and curing the epoxy powder at 180~200°C for 10 minutes.

Regions in which the resultant arithmetic mean surface roughness Sa is equal to or greater than 1 μm are defined as first regions, and regions in which the resultant arithmetic mean surface roughness Sa is less than 1 μm are defined as second regions.
