Данное изобретение относится к способу изгибания керамических плиток. Способ включает стадии изготовления канавок на нижней поверхности плитки, в той ее области, где плитка должна быть изогнута; заполнения полученных на плитке канавок заполняющим материалом, совместимым с материалом, из которого изготовлена плитка; покрытия канавок гибкой полосой из негорючего огнеупорного материала; прикрепления полосы к поверхности плитки; помещения плитки на подложку заданной формы; нагревания области плитки, которая должна быть изогнута, до температуры размягчения самой этой области; и охлаждения полученной таким образом смоделированной плитки. Гибкая полоса представляет собой полосу изолирующей бумаги на основе минерального войлока. После охлаждения гибкую полосу удаляют. The bricks are removed from the press and placed in rows at intervals on an indexing conveyor. Sets of parallel divider plates, pivoting at the top and with separator devices diverging outwards at the bottom are inserted, and while the conveyor is stationary the dividing knives are forced into the blanks horizontally from both sides by expanding the plates. The divided blanks are then hardened. The plates can be mounted in pairs, pivoting and parallel to each other, and spread apart by wedges on intermediate plates between them and which are raised upwards. The pairs of plates and the intermediate plates can be adjustable and lockable in the horizontal and vertical directions, springs being provided to force the outer plates against the intermediate ones.

The spacer wheel is then slid back along the elongated member such that the spacer abuts the previously positioned tile. Producing articles 60 or features 90 in articles in one manufacturing operation is desirable because it can save time and expense by eliminating the need to transfer the article to a separate machine for chamfering 96 after laser 72 machining. Alternatively, it can permit use of less expensive equipment because the same laser 72 used for machining can be used to form the chamfer 96 instead of having a separate process perform the chamfering 96. Producing chamfers 96 with laser 72 machining results in high quality chamfers 96 without the need for a separate polishing or finishing step.

Front feet are provided at a lower part of a cutting-machine main body via a foot holder. Furthermore, a slider positioned on a front side relative to the front feet is provided at the lower part. When a workpiece to be cut is to be cut by a blade, the cutting-machine main body is tilted so as to let the blade go down. When the cutting-machine main body is tilted, a state where the front feet are in contact with the workpiece is switched to a state where the slider is in contact with the workpiece. Then, by moving the cutting-machine main body forward while sliding the slider on the workpiece, the workpiece is cut by the blade. In the cutting operation, the front feet can get away from the workpiece. Therefore, damage of the front feet can be prevented, and the running cost can be suppressed.

A frangibility device for creating a preferred breakage plane or weakness within cured columns such as rigid inclusions (RIs) and/or vibratory concrete columns (VCCs) comprises a cutting disc, an elongate strut attached to the center of the disc, and a detachable handle for turning. The disc comprises a thin geometric plate slit from center to periphery, so that a slicing wing can be bent downward at a shallow angle from the slit.
