A forming arrangement is arranged after the first processing unit in a direction of transport of the preforms, and forms the preforms into the plastics material containers. A heating device heats the preforms. A blow molding machine is in the direction of transport of the plastics material preforms, and expands the heated plastics material preforms to form the plastics material containers by applying a free-flowing medium. A discharge device is between the first processing unit and the forming arrangement, and discharges the plastics material preforms. A storage apparatus stores the plastics material preforms discharged by the discharge device.

The IBM system includes an injection station having upper and lower die sets and a plurality of upper and lower mold half blocks each attached to a respective die set. Each of the upper mold half blocks has a corresponding lower mold half block with which it cooperatively defines one or more cavities for forming the exterior shape of the body of one or more of the parisons. The individual, independent attachment of the mold half blocks to the die sets allows easy individual replacement of faulty or worn mold blocks. Further, such an independent attachment configuration also permits the mold half blocks of each die set to be spaced from one another, so as to reduce thermal expansion problems and ease dimensional tolerances required for the width of the mold half blocks.

An aseptic filling machine includes a pre-heating sterilizing portion that sterilizes a preform, a heating portion that heats the sterilized preform, a molding and filling portion that fills the heated preform with a sterilized content under high pressure, thereby molding the preform into a bottle and at the same time filling the preform with the content, and a sealing portion that seals the bottle filled with the content. Before the aseptic filling machine starts operating, each portion is sterilized. During operation of the aseptic filling machine, aseptic air is supplied to each portion to maintain the aseptic condition.

The present invention relates to a mold for molding hollow bodies from parisons.
