A hot runner injection molding apparatus, and method of use, is disclosed in which strain gauges are provided in the temperature zones of the hot runner injection molding apparatus and a hot runner controller creates a target strain profile, detects deviations from the target strain profile in any temperature zone based on the strain readings provided by the strain gauges in each temperature zone, and instructs correction of deviations from the target strain profile in any deviating temperature zone by adjusting the heat produced by a heater or heaters in the deviating temperature zone. The target strain profile may be based on a median or average of strain readings provided over time by the strain gauges in each temperature zone. A hollow installation tube for placing the strain gauges in the hot runner injection molding apparatus is also disclosed.

The present disclosure provides a method of adjusting a dimension of a molded product. The method includes generating a plurality of adjusted molding conditions comprising an adjusted velocity profile and an adjusted packing pressure profile; conducting, via an injection-molding apparatus, an actual molding to produce a molded product using the adjusted molding conditions if the adjusted molding condition is qualified; determining whether a dimension of the molded product needs to be adjusted; and updating at least one of the adjusted molding conditions if the dimension of the molded product needs to be adjusted. 1. A method of adjusting a dimension of a molded product , comprising:generating a plurality of adjusted molding conditions comprising an adjusted velocity profile and an adjusted packing pressure profile;conducting, via an injection-molding apparatus, an actual molding to produce a molded product using the adjusted molding conditions if the adjusted molding conditions are qualified;determining whether a dimension of the molded product needs to be adjusted; andupdating at least one of the adjusted molding conditions if the dimension of the molded product needs to be adjusted.2. A space-saving pressure sensor for a metal or plastics processing tool is configured to perform date stamping during injection molding with the processing tool. The pressure sensor is configured to be inserted into a single drilled hole of the tool. A first cast-compatible mark and a second cast-compatible mark of the pressure sensor may be adjusted against one another in such a way that a variety of different date marks can be created, which may then be applied to different injection-molded products. The pressure sensor may be used within the framework of manufacturing an injection-molded product. 1.
