The sections are linked by portions (19) which are cut away after moulding, leaving orifices (22, 23) on the ends of pipe sections which are linked by supple connectors (21) which act as hinges as the orifices are brought together and the adjoining sections are assembled to make a continuous curved pipe. The invention relates to a method and a device for producing tube-type bodies (41). An injection-molded preform (1) produced from a thermoplastic material and having two opposite mouth sections (56, 65) is biaxial orientation-molded in a blow mold (4) to give a primary body (2). Molding is carried out by stretching and by adding a pressurized blowing gas. Stretching may be carried out using a stretching rod that is introduced into the interior of the preform and pushes against an upper portion of one of the mouth sections. The primary body is removed from the blow mold as an intermediate product and cut through to give two tubular containers. In a final step, the edges of the cut are pressed and welded together. The tubular container can optionally be closed prior to or after filling.

In manufacturing a hollow molded article by an apparatus for manufacturing a hollow molded article, a pair of molding dies and another pair of molding dies disposed to position a sheet-like parison therebetween are provided, and the sheet-like parison is transformed into a predetermined shape. In the case of the piercing pins, there are incorporated in the blow mold for blow molding the container from a perform and are generally placed along the parting lines of the blow mold and also in central parts of the wall. The construction and operation of the piercing pins may be provided in several forms.

The mold includes a heating system locally disposed adjacent the groove for heating the walls of the groove so as to heat the thermoplastic in this region, thereby reducing the viscosity of the thermoplastic so that it more-readily flows into and completely fills the groove. Der Reckvorgang kann unter Verwendung einer Reckstange erfolgen, die in einen Innenraum des Vorformlings eingeführt wird und gegen eine Kuppe eines der Mündungsabschnitte drückt. Der Primärkörper wird als Zwischenprodukt der Blasform entnommen und in zwei tubenförmige Behälter zertrennt. In einem abschließenden Produktionsschritt erfolgt ein Zusammendrücken des Schnittrandes und ein Verschweißen. Das Verschließen des tubenförmigen Behälters kann wahlweise vor oder nach einem Füllvorgang durchgeführt werden. The method and the device are used to produce tube-like bodies. An injection molded preform having two opposite mouth portions made of a thermoplastic material is formed into a blow mold by biaxially expanding to a primary body. The forming takes place by a stretching process and by supplying a pressurized blown gas. The stretching operation may be carried out by using a stretch rod which is inserted into an interior of the preform and presses against a crest of one of the mouth portions. The primary body is taken as an intermediate of the blow mold and divided into two tube-shaped container. In a final production step, a compression of the cut edge and welding takes place. The closing of the tube-shaped container can optionally be carried out before or after a filling operation.

At least one of the thread ring insert and cutter ring insert includes a relief surface connected to a vent channel to permit gas to escape from the area defining the radial flange.
