In a method for manufacturing tyres for vehicle wheels, a green tyre, once formed, is transferred into a vulcanisation mould and pressed against the holding walls of a moulding cavity. Concurrently with the pressing step, a fluid present between the green tyre and the holding walls is evacuated through vent valves. The tyre is brought into contact with the closing head of each valve so as to push it toward a closed position of the valve itself. The closing head has a distal portion facing the moulding cavity and includes at least one grip element for the tyre blend, so that the closure member is pulled toward the open position while the moulded and cured tyre is moved away from the inner surface of said moulding cavity.

In a specific embodiment the method includes the steps of (1) loading preliminarily deformed waste into a reaction chamber, (2) applying an aggressive medium to the waste for a time sufficient to convert the one or more polymers to fragments, and separate one of more polymers from their associated elements, and (3) subjecting the products of step (2) to mechanical separation of the associated elements from the polymer fragments. The method and device is particularly useful for the processing of tires including preliminarily deformed tire segments or shredded tire waste.

A method for processing rubber granules or rubber powders containing different types of rubber. Vehicle tires containing natural rubber in the tread and butyl rubber in the inner liner are granulated or ground to prepare rubber granules or rubber powders, which are processed in a flotation cell under stirring and with the addition of air. The natural rubber fraction of the rubber granules has a higher tendency to adsorb air bubbles and to rise in the flotation cell, while the butyl rubber fraction remains at the bottom. The rubber granules are separated into two or more rubber fractions with an increased amount of a specific rubber type in each fraction.

Specifically, a patch rubber for repairing a radial tire, the patch rubber being constituted of reinforcing cord layers each formed by coating plural reinforcing cords aligned in parallel to each other with rubber, is characterized in that: the reinforcing cord layers constitute a laminate in which they are laminated from one side to the other side; and provided that: i) a region defined by a contour curve connecting adjacent cord ends of the plural reinforcing cords at one end side thereof, another contour curve connecting adjacent cord ends of the plural reinforcing cords at the other end side thereof, and the outermost reinforcing cords in a cord-juxtaposing direction of the plural reinforcing cords represents a reinforcing region in each reinforcing cord layer; ii) one reinforcing cord layer has one reinforcing region; and iii) another reinforcing cord layer, which includes the reinforcing cords having the same cord-extending direction as the reinforcing cords of the one reinforcing cord layer and is laminated on the other side in the layer-lamination direction of the one reinforcing cord layer, has another reinforcing region, the another reinforcing region resides within the one reinforcing region.

Such an adhesive based on unsaturated TPS and PPE advantageously makes it possible to replace a conventional textile adhesive of RFL type. A device for inflating and sealing an inflatable object comprising an air-tight tube, at least one hermetic connector reversibly coupled to either end or both ends of said air- tight tube and a source of pressure connected to either one end, second end or said at least one hermetic connector. The airtight tube serves as both storage means and transfer means for a sealing agent. The device allows transfer of said sealant agent in a largely laminar flow, aiding solid and semi-solid materials in said sealant agent to align in the direction of said flow and pass securely throw the valve mechanism without clogging. The inflatable object may be inflated and sealed without removal of the valve mechanism of said inflatable object and may be charged with pressurized gas and sealant agent contemporaneously.

A machine that removes the bead wires from tires for the purpose of reclaiming the wire and recycling of the tire. The bead of the tire is placed over a drive wheel and tension rollers, the tension rollers move away from the drive wheel which stretches the bead against the drive wheel. A sealant composition which is comprised of (a) polyisobutylene , (b) a peroxide , and (c) a reinforcing filler , wherein the polyisobutylene is present in the sealant layer at a level of at least 50 weight percent , based upon the total weight of elastomers in the sealant composition.2. A method for welding a first hose end at a joint with a second hose end in a seam that extends on a circumference of the first hose end, the method comprising the steps: applying a protective layer at the joint to an inside of the first hose end; pushing the second hose end beyond the joint over the first hose end; pressing the first hose end and the second hose end together flat at the joint between two first damping jaws that are moved towards each other; welding the first hose end and the second hose end together by two first partial seams while pressed together, wherein the protective layer prevents a welding of the inside of the first hose end; releasing the first hose end and the second hose end from the two first clamping jaws after welding the two first partial seams. 1. A pneumatic tire is provided which includes an outer circumferential rubber tread and a supporting carcass. A rubber inner liner is disposed inwardly from the supporting carcass. A built-in sealant layer is situated adjacent to an innermost removable barrier layer and disposed inwardly from the rubber inner liner. The built-in sealant layer provides self-sealing properties to the pneumatic tire. The pneumatic tire, with its innermost removable barrier layer, keeps the sealant layer from sticking to a tire-building apparatus during tire assembly and, after curing of the assembled tire, is eventually removed to permit gas from the built-in sealant layer to become part of the tire's inflation air to prevent or reduce instances of inner liner blister formation.
