Abstract of the Disclosure A method of preparing a laminate having increased peel strength and solvent resistance which involves (A) applying an adhesive composition to a surface of a first sheet; (B) exposing the adhesive composition on the surface of the first sheet to incoherent, pulsed ultraviolet radiation from a dielectric barrier discharge excimer lamp; (C) bringing a surface of a second sheet in contact withthe adhesive composition-bearing surface of the first article; and (D) allowing the adhesive composition to cure. The incoherent, pulsed ultraviolet radiation has asingle narrow wavelength band within the range of from about 260 to about 360 nanometers. The adhesive composition includes from about 94 to about 60 percent by weight of a cycloaliphatic diepoxide, from about 1 to about 10 percent by weight of a cationic photoinitiator, and from about 5 to about 30 percent by weight of a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-vinyl alcohol terpolymer, all based on the weight of adhesive composition. The sheets desirably are films and nonwoven webs composed of cellulosic fibers, polyolefin fibers, or a mixture of cellulosic fibers and polyolefin fibers. The method is particularly well suited for the preparation of such laminates as industrial wipers, workwear, medical fabrics, and the like.

Provided is an interlayer film for laminated glass capable of suppressing the discoloration by the light and heat in an interlayer film including a resin layer colored with a coloring agent. The interlayer film for laminated glass according to the present invention has an infrared reflective layer, and a first resin layer containing a thermoplastic resin, the first resin layer is arranged on a first surface side of the infrared reflective layer, the infrared reflective layer has a first maximum reflection wavelength at a wavelength of 350 nm to 450 nm, and a second maximum reflection wavelength at a wavelength of 800 nm or more, each of reflectance at the first maximum reflection wavelength and reflectance at the second maximum reflection wavelength is 15% or more, and the first resin layer contains a coloring agent. 1. Moisture and gas permeable ionomeric films are described. The films described herein are obtained from blends of ionomers with an organic acid salt in the amount of at least about 5 wt %, and have MVTR greater than films obtained from conventional ionomers. Particularly preferred are the potassium salts of stearic, oleic, isostearic, and isooleic acids. Films comprising a liquid-absorbent ionomer film layer and an impermeable layer are provided. The films are suitable for preparation of tubular casings and shrinkbags, in particular, casings for smoked foodstuffs.

The method also includes withdrawing the mid-portion of the valve pin from the gate region, thereby forming an injection-molded aperture in the resulting molded plastic article at the gate region.

The film comprises a polypropylene layer and a layer comprising an oxygen barrier material. The film has weight = 15-22 g/m2. The preferred film comprises an outer polypropylene layer, optional abuse layer, intermediate layer, barrier layer, intermediate layer, optional abuse layer and inner layer comprising an ethylene α-olefin copolymer. The preferred barrier layer is polyethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH), polyamide or polyvinylidene chloride (PVdC) [possibly copolymerised with a minor amount of vinyl chloride or (meth)acrylic ester]. Exemplified films comprise: an inner layer of comprising a copolymer of ethylene and octene, CaCO3 and antimicrobial additives; an intermediate layer of maleic anhydride modified LLDPE; a barrier layer of EVOH with ethylene content = 27-32%; another intermediate layer; and an inner layer comprising a random propylene-ethylene copolymer. Films with weights of 16.8, 21.2 and 19.29 g/m2 and thicknesses 7/1.5/1.5/1.5/6, 9/2/2/2/7 and 6/2/2/2/6 were disclosed. The packaging film is used for waste food, used cat litter and childrens nappies.
