A novelty writing instrument with pneumatic feature with a rigid elongate hollow writing instrument housing, a pneumatic pump mechanism, a pneumatic pump activating push button, one or more flexible inflatable members and a relief valve. The pump mechanism is located within the hollow writing instrument housing. The pump activating button protrudes through an aperture on the surface of the housing and is activated when the user presses on the surface of the pneumatic push button. The inflatable members are attached in an air tight manner to the pneumatic pump. The housing has apertures that allow the flexible inflatable members to exit the housing when the pump mechanism is activated. The relief valve lets the user deflate the inflatable members. A preferred embodiment includes inflatable members are made of latex balloons.

A pen structure with a glass smasher has the glass smasher mounted at the front end of a pen. The first writing member comprises a mechanical pencil system being provided in a first portion of the hollow body and a touch ID sensitive barrel. A second projector member comprises a projector pen and attaches a projector stick. The first portion of the hollow body is at the opposite end of the second portion of the hollow body. The multifunctional writing device allows for projecting self-leveled and auto calibrated geometry drawing tools. A method for digitizing the written data on paper and a system for secure, auto proctored, and auto grading of examinations is provided.

A lamp pen includes a pen body, a refill, a conductive rotating slide, a lamp, and a cartridge holding a battery. The rotating slide is electrically connected to the battery. A conductive bar on a surface of the slide abuts an end of the cartridge, which comprises a helical surface forming higher and auxiliary higher slots disposed at a highest point of the surface. A first lead of the lamp is connected to the battery, and a second lead is affixed within the higher slot. Rotating the slide causes the conductive bar to engage either the higher slot or auxiliary higher slot, pushing the cartridge downward so that the refill extends out of the pen tip. When the higher slot is engaged, the second lead of the lamp connects to the conductive bar, the electric circuit completes, and the lamp illuminates.

The clip is an eccentric block. The eccentric block is pivotally installed in the slot by using a stud. A top stud of the switch button protrudes from a central round hole of the base. A top of the top stud resists against the eccentric block of the clip. When the clip pivotally rotates upwards, the switch button descends to contact the light emitting device to light up. The light emitting device moves downward to cause the refill moves downwards. Then a tip of the refill protrudes out of the pen tube. When the clip pivotally rotates, the light emitting body does not light up and the tip embeds into the pen tube.

The lightbulb is held in place axially in the pen body typically by a corrugated metal bulb holder and by a translucent spacer extending to the end of the pen body where a marking element is located and opposite the end disposed to contain the battery. A metal spring-clip having a sliding portion mounted externally to the pen body is attached through the pen body wall and is disposed to make electrical contact with the battery therein. The sliding portion is free to slide down the exterior of the pen body wall and to make contact with the bulb holder through a hole in the pen body wall, thereby completing the circuit between the bulb and the battery using the length of the spring-clip as a primary conductive element in the system. Provided in a second embodiment is a writing implement having a built-in illumination system which is specially adapted for mounting to a surface such as a clipboard.
