Die Erfindung betrifft ein Nutzfahrzeugrad mit einer Steilschulterfelge für schlauchlose Reifen und einer Radscheibe, die im Krümmungsbogen des Tiefbettbodens zur Seitenwand durch einen I-Stoß angeschädern als der steifste Punkt, so dass Räder mit einer solchen Felgen/Scheiben-Verbindung im Fahrbetrieb den geringsten Wechselspannungen unterliegen und somit eine höhere Dauerfestigkeit erhalten. Das Schweißen erfolgt nur von der Innenseite. Das Spezielle an dieser Schweißung ist, dass die Felge mit einer besonders angeordneten Schweißbadsicherung ausgestattet ist was eine sehr sichere Schweißverbindung von Felge und Radscheibe erlaubt. Die Felge und die Radscheibe werden bei dieser Neuerung so modifiziert, dass eine Materialeinsparung von mehr als 10% erreicht wird, was zu einer Gewichts- und Kostenreduzierung der Räder führt. Die Ventilanordnung kann so gewählt werden, dass der Einsatz eines geraden Rohres als außen liegendes Ventil verwendet werden kann.

The invention relates to the wheel of a motor vehicle, which is assembled by crimping and may be of a composite structure. It consists of a disc 1, more particularly made from moulded aluminium, and of a ring 2 generally made of sheet steel assembled on the disc by magnetoforming, and completed, if desired, by a part accommodated under the tyre bead. This type of wheel makes it possible to assemble without welding or screwing similar or different materials and to achieve a cost which is smaller than that of the currently used moulded metal sheet or moulded aluminium wheels.

This invention concerns a method of joining forged, machined, formed or cast components with metal tube. In another aspect it concerns a metal object constructed according to the method. The tube heated to expand its diameter, but not sufficiently to anneal it, or otherwise adversely affect its mechanical properties. Then, while the tube is still hot, it is pushed over part of the central component so that part of the tube overlies a circumferential groove in the central component. Then, while still hot, the circumferential part of the tube which overlies the groove, is rolled into the groove, so that when cooled the rolled pan of the tube is clamped into the groove. The invention is particularly, but not exclusively, applicable to the construction of vehicle wheels having a forged, machined, formed or cast hub or centre and a metal rim.

Disclosed is a method of forming a wheel assembly consisting of a wheel portion and a cover portion. The method includes handling the wheel portion from dunnage to a work cell with an outboard face of the wheel portion facing away from a supporting surface. Portions of the disk flange corresponding to the radially outer end (S) of each spoke section are cut out more outwardly in the wheel axis direction (L) of the disk flange compared to an inner end edge (35a) which is located inwardly in the wheel axis direction (L), with the result that cutouts (36) are formed. Provided is a styled wheel with an improved durability of spokes. A wheel body has 8-10 kg of weight, 15 inches of size, 6-7 mm of load point displacement, and 1,700-1,900 Kgf/mm of stiffness. The styled wheel with the improved durability of spokes comprises: the wheel body made of steel; four bolt holes placed between a ring-shaped protruding unit on an inner side of the wheel body and a ring-shaped edge unit at the same angle intervals; and five spokes placed on an outer side of the bolt holes at the same angle intervals. The spokes have a positive inclination to protrude to the outside as the spokes get closer to a rim at a part facing a caliper in order to satisfy the cycle of 2*10^6 cycle of the determination criteria for durable performance (CFT and RFT).

According to the invention, the fabricated vehicle wheel includes a conventional full wheel rim and a unique wheel disc joined to the wheel rim. The wheel disc includes an inner wheel mounting pad, an outer annular rim connecting flange and a plurality of radial spokes connecting the inner wheel mounting pad to the rim connecting flange. The rim connecting flange extends in an axial direction and defines a side edge surface extending between each pair of adjacent spokes. A plurality of windows are formed in the wheel disc. Each of the windows has a predetermined shape defined by the adjacent spokes and the side edge surface of the rim connecting flange. The rim connecting flange and the side edge surface are configured such that the window extends to an outermost periphery of the wheel disc. The inner wheel mounting pad includes at least one rib provided therein. The rib has an outer surface and an inner surface, at least one of the outer surface and the inner surface is provided with a flat planar surface.

This invention concerns a method of joining forged, machined, formed or cast components with a metal tube. In another aspect, it concerns a metal object constructed according to the method. The tube is heated to expand its diameter, but not sufficiently to anneal it, or otherwise adversely affect its mechanical properties. Then, while the tube is still hot, it is pushed over part of the central component so that part of the tube overlies a circumferential groove in the central component. Then, while still hot, the circumferential part of the tube which overlies the groove, is rolled into the groove, so that when cooled the rolled part of the tube is clamped into the groove. The invention is particularly, but not exclusively, applicable to the construction of vehicle wheels having a forged, machined, formed or cast hub or center and a metal rim.
