A lock for trailer hitches that is inexpensive and easy to use and that will secure the coupler fixed to the end of a trailer hitch to prevent unauthorized hook-up and towing of the trailer and items carried on or in the trailer. The lock is formed with a bottom plate having a flat top surface, a top plate having a flat bottom surface to overlie a portion of the bottom plate and a pivot pin fixed to the bottom plate and about which the top plate revolves. A bumper fixed to the top of the pivot pin holds the top plate over the bottom plate and extends upwardly to engage the interior of the coupler and to keep the lock from sliding off the coupler when side flanges on the plates are positioned over a surrounding flange on the coupler and a padlock hasp is positioned through aligned holes in the plates.

A tractor trailer fifth wheel cover is disclosed forming an enclosure over the fifth wheel locking mechanism along the underside of the fifth wheel bearing plate. The present invention relates to a removable trailer coupler that may be used to prevent trailer theft. One end of the coupler includes a connector with a unique pattern of indentations and/or protrusions. The unique pattern corresponds to a pattern of protrusions and/or indentations located on a connector on the end of the tongue of a trailer. If the pattern of protrusions and indentations match, the coupler may be slid onto and connected to the trailer tongue. If an attempt is made to use a different coupler, the unique pattern of the indentations will not match, and the coupler will not be able to attach to the tongue. Without a coupler the trailer cannot connect to a tow hitch and the trailer cannot be towed. 1. A trailer attachment device including a tongue corresponding to a matching coupler comprising:a tongue for connection to a trailer, said tongue including a tongue connection surface for selectively connecting to a coupler, wherein a first set of protrusions and/or indentations is present on said tongue connection surface;a coupler for selective connection to a vehicle, said coupler including a coupler connection surface for selectively connecting to said tongue connection surface, wherein a second set of protrusions and/or indentations is present on said coupler connection surface; and,wherein said first set of protrusions and/or indentations inversely correspond with said second set of protrusions and/or indentations to allow said coupler connection to be secured to said tongue connection when said tongue connection surface and coupler connection surface are aligned.2. An improved coupler for a tongue on a towed vehicle that attaches to a tow hook mounted on a towing vehicle to either pull the towed vehicle over a road or to pull the towed vehicle located on an elevated surface. A trailer coupler lock includes a coupler lock body and pin body assembly. The lock body retains the pin body assembly and slides horizontally onto a trailer coupler. When the lock body is in position under the trailer coupler, the pin body assembly is slid upward through the lock body and a protruding pin section of the pin body passes via a top hole in the pin body to enter into the coupler ball socket. While the pin body is in this position, a key is utilized to slide a shackle on the pin body assembly through a hasp on the lock body thereby blocking retraction of the pin body and locking the whole assembly together onto the trailer coupler.
