An independent suspension comprises upper and lower fork arms, elastic elements, shock absorber and fork arm positioning pivots. The fork arms are A-shaped, front ends of the fork arms respectively connect to upper and lower suspension points of a wheel, and rear ends of the fork arms connect to a vehicle frame through the elastic elements. The shock absorber mounts on top of the front end of the upper fork arm. Vehicle frame bearing pivot points and transmission parts are constructed on peripheries of the upper and lower fork arms. The arrangement absorbs bearing elastic forces by changing directions of force and the arms of force, to form multiple points supporting multiple elastic elements, so force applied on the wheel is distributed by multiple points, increasing average running speed. The use of compressed gas to mechanically control a valve position allows changes to the piston resistance to be made quickly and to be increased or decreased as desired. An inside of the cylinder is sectioned into a gas chamber and a main liquid chamber by the first piston, and the main liquid chamber is sectioned into a first sub-liquid chamber and a second sub-liquid chamber by the second piston. Gas is sealed in the gas chamber, and liquid is sealed in the first and second sub-liquid chambers. A piston rod is coupled to the second piston. The cylinder and the piston rod are respectively coupled to two locations of a vehicle body. A communication path connects the first sub-liquid chamber to the second sub-liquid chamber. A moving amount of the liquid in the communication path is adjusted by an adjuster such that a moving load through the second piston is adjusted. 1. A frame for an off road vehicle includes main beams establishing a base plane. Mounting beams, which can be used to support forces from the swing arm of a rear suspension, are spaced outside the main beams and within the base plane, running longitudinally in line with the swing arms of the rear suspension.
