An air treatment system for a vehicle includes a first compressor selectively coupled to a first vehicle power source. A second compressor is selectively coupled to a second vehicle power source. A first heat exchanger communicates with an interior space in the vehicle. A second heat exchanger communicates with an environment outside the vehicle. A valve member, in a first position, couples an inlet of each of the first and second compressors to an outlet of the first heat exchanger and an outlet of each of the compressors to an inlet of the second heat exchanger. In a second position, the valve member couples the outlets of the compressors to an inlet of the first heat exchanger and the inlets of the compressors to an outlet of the second heat exchanger. A controller selectively actuates at least one of the first and second compressors and the valve member.

The present invention relates to a positive pressure evaporation module housing for a caterpillar combat vehicle, which is mounted in a set position in order to supply a positive pressure relatively higher than atmospheric pressure inside the interior of the caterpillar combat vehicle and at the same time provide cooling air. The positive pressure evaporation module housing comprises: an evaporation module into which a low-temperature low-pressure refrigerant passing through an expansion valve is introduced; and a positive pressure blower which passes through a dust separator and a filter, purifies the outside air, passes the evaporation module, draws in the outside air to cool the purified outside air, creates a positive pressure relatively higher than atmospheric pressure inside, and introduces the purified and cooled air into the inside of the combat vehicle to prevent the outside polluted air from flowing inside. The liquid may comprise a coolant, and a pump may be provided for pumping the coolant through the heat exchanger to a point of use such as a cooling garment to cool personnel on board the vehicle. Alternatively, the liquid may be a drinkable liquid which is pumped through the heat exchanger to a suitable dispensing system to provide an on-board supply of cool drinking liquid.

The emergency vehicle allows rapid, safe intervention at sites of pollution risk from toxic materials. It attends locations presenting technical and chemical hazards, following natural or industrial disasters. Entry is via an air lock (5), with decontamination shower. Meteorological instrumentation is carried by a telescopic mast (11) integral with the vehicle. The rear of the compartment (2) is fitted out to carry equipment required for external operations. An apparatus and method for automatically regulating the environmental system of a motorized vehicle and other articles having storage compartments. As impinging air flow is directed through the cabin or compartment subject to environmental control it comes in contact with a desiccant filler contained within a desiccant wheel or canister. The desiccant material absorbs moisture out of the air stream. The resultant air stream, or the extracted moisture released into another air stream, may then be directed to the interior of the motorized vehicle or used in other parts of the system. The net effect is a decrease or increase in the relative humidity level of the air mass contained in the cabin or compartment of a motorized vehicle or refrigeration unit. As one portion or element of the desiccant filler becomes saturated, the other portion or element of the desiccant filler completes it's regeneration cycle. The air streams are altered so that the designated air stream remains in either the hydrous or anhydrous desiccant, thus producing a constant air flow containing either an increased relative humidity or an air stream with a reduced relative humidity to achieve the desired result. The apparatus includes, at least one moisture collection device having an inlet and an outlet, and a system of flow conduits or paths into and out of the compartment or cabin. The air streams may be directed to at least one heat exchanger, a pre-cooler, a compressor, or an evaporator.

The system further includes a pressure generator disposed within the duct section, where operation of the fan generates a pressure differential between an interior portion of the system housing and the ambient environment such that gaseous fluid drawn into the system housing via the duct section is removed from the interior portion of the system housing via the outlet defined by the hollow member. In an exemplary embodiment, the system is disposed within a motorized vehicle to maintain a sensor window used with optical equipment clean during system operations.

The condenser housing includes a front face so as to permit at least one warning light to be affixed thereto. The condenser housing includes a right face extending rearward from the front face. The condenser housing includes a left face extending rearward from the front face. At least one warning light is affixed to an exterior of the front face.
