A tie bar for connecting an equipment fitting of an equipment module to a structure fitting of a fuselage cell structure. At each end the tie bar has a fork head each with a fork head hole for a bolt. The spacing between the fork heads can be continuously adjusted. A captive bushing is utilized for sound and vibration decoupling. The bushings which are a press fit in the fork head holes can no longer fall out during the handling of the tie bars 10 . The dimensions of the bushings made of plastic are adapted to the respective application scenario by a tolerance calculation and guarantee an effective sound and vibration decoupling between the structure fitting and the equipment fitting.

The aircraft region further has at least one monument, wherein one of the side walls of the monument is adjacent to the aisle in such a manner that the side wall forms one of the lateral boundaries of the aisle. A niche is formed in a portion of the side wall of the monument facing the aircraft door, which niche is so configured that it is able to accommodate a standing person wholly or at least for the most part. 1. An aircraft region comprising:an aisle leading into an aircraft door region and via which passengers can leave the aircraft or enter the aircraft;at least one monument, wherein one side wall of the monument is adjacent to the aisle in such a manner that the one side wall forms a lateral boundary of the aisle, and a niche is formed in a portion of the side wall of the monument facing the aircraft door, which niche is so configured that it is able to at least largely accommodate a standing person.2. The aircraft region according to claim 1 , wherein dimensions of the niche are such that a person standing in the niche does not obstruct the passengers as they enter or leave the aircraft via the aisle.3. The aircraft region according to claim 1 , wherein the niche is immediately adjacent to the aircraft door.4. The aircraft region according to claim 1 , wherein the monument has a reduced width in the region of the niche.5. A pivoting device especially useful in aircraft passenger cabins that can pivot a monitor between stowed and open positions, the pivoting device including a forward/reverse rotatable driving motor. An electromagnetic brake holds the monitor in stowed and opened positions A power unit powers the motor and the electromagnetic brake. A controller controls the pivoting movement of the monitor. The power unit includes a rectifier circuit that transforms AC to a DC, a step-up circuit that steps up the transformed voltage, a voltage regulator that adjusts the transformed voltage to a prescribed DC voltage, and a retraction power retention circuit including a capacitor. When no source voltage is detected while the monitor is in its opened state, the capacitor supplies the power to a voltage regulator of the power circuit, deactivates the electromagnetic brake and reverse rotates the motor to drive the monitor to its stowed position.

The handle system also includes an actuator operably coupled to the support structure and configured to move the support structure between the stowed position and the deployed position. The handle system further includes one or more sensors configured to obtain data indicative of vehicle motion and a controller. The controller is configured to determine the vehicle exceeds a threshold rate of movement based on the data obtained by the one or more sensors. In response to determining the vehicle exceeds the threshold rate of movement, the controller instructs the actuator to move the support structure from the stowed position into the deployed position.
