In one embodiment, an upper puck plate carries the article while a separated lower puck plate defines a rotational orienting circular gear rack with a rotation-stopping bridge, separating ends of the rack and inclined from a base of one end tooth in the rack to a crest of another end tooth in the rack. The lower puck plate can be a combination of two circular plates with the circular gear rack interposed therebetween and within the periphery of the circular plates. Pucks can be accumulated in mutual engaged positions and separated by the linear star into preselected pitch while transported and turned. Integral pucks can be used. The adhesive articles utilize a dry, non-tacky protective layer for protecting the adhesive layer from contamination and therefore do not require a release liner. A method for preparing labels for application to containers , comprising:applying glue in a variable glue image directly onto a glue application surface of at least one label via a controllable glue printer.2. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising individual or groupwise control of a plurality of glue nozzles of the glue printer in such a way that a desired glue image is applied to the glue application surface of the label.3. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising the step of moving the glue application surface to be printed-on past a plurality of glue discharge openings of the glue printer by means of a controllably pivotable pallet claim 1 , with the glue application surface facing away from the pallet.4. The first application fixture is configured to be programmed to hold decals of different shape and size and the second application fixture is configured to be programmed to identify the 3D direction of squeezing pad motion within each region of such decals to eliminate the bubbles without wrinkling. A method of packaging an object , comprising:placing an object inside of heat-shrinkable film;sealing the heat-shrinkable film around the object to form a heat-shrinkable package;coupling a first portion of a label to the heat-shrinkable package such that the first portion of the label is affixed directly to an exterior of the heat-shrinkable film and a second portion of the label is not affixed directly to the exterior of the heat-shrinkable film, wherein the section portion of the label includes an identifier; andcausing the heat-shrinkable film to shrink into heat-shrunk film and the heat-shrinkable package to form into a heat-shrunk package;wherein the label remains coupled to the heat-shrunk film after the heat-shrinkable film is caused to shrink into heat-shrunk film; andwherein the second portion of the label remains substantially undeformed after the heat-shrinkable film is caused to shrink into heat-shrunk film.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the heat-shrunk film is opaque.3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the identifier contains information identifying at least one of the object or the heat-shrunk package.4. Water-activatable, linerless adhesive articles and related methods are described. The adhesive articles utilize a dry, non-tacky protective layer for protecting the adhesive layer from contamination and therefore do not require a release liner. The protective layer includes at least one of amorphous polyvinyl alcohol and poly(ethylene oxide). The adhesive articles are bonded to a substrate by applying a polar solvent, such as water, to the protective layer, which mix to form a tacky material. The tacky material forms a weak, temporary bond with the substrate and allows the adhesive articles to be repositioned on the substrate. The tacky material gradually pools together at the substrate/adhesive article interface to expose the underlying adhesive layer. The exposed adhesive layer then forms a permanent bond with the substrate.

Disclosed is a device for attaching an electronic tag having a data packet inspection function. The device according to the present invention encodes user identification information (User_UID) to a tag supplied by a tag supply part, attaches the tag separated by an air discharge system to an attachment point of a corresponding product, reads each of information from the attached NFC tag chip to determine whether the recorded chip_UID and the user identification information are matched, and stores the result of the determination in an inspection table which interconnects the chip_UID and the user identification information. Therefore, the device reduces the incidence of defective labels and rapidly replaces defective labels with new labels, thereby attaching good quality labels to products.
