The invention relates to a method, a sleeving device and a mandrel for arranging sleeves around products such as containers. Foil is opened on the mandrel and fed over the outer surface of the mandrel. The foil is cut at a first position to form individual sleeves of predetermined length. Sleeves are discharged in axial direction from the mandrel over the product. The sleeves are discharged by engaging the sleeves at a second position. The circumference of the outer surface of the mandrel near the second position is smaller than the circumference of the outer surface of the mandrel upstream from the first position.

The invention relates to a labelling plant and method for containers. Heat shrinkable sleeves are supplied and containers are supplied. A device for arranging the sleeve around the container will arrange the sleeve in a position with respect to the container. In a heat shrink oven the sleeves are fixed to the container forming the label. A conveyor will transport containers from the container supply and sleeves from the sleeve supply into the heat shrink oven. A method for applying labels to round , straight-walled articles , comprising:feeding a label having a length and a width onto a flat, planar vacuum surface, so that the entire length and width of the label is disposed on the flat, planar vacuum surface, so that an adhesive side of the label faces outwardly toward articles passing by the flat, planar vacuum surface on a conveyor in a downstream direction of travel;retaining the label on the flat, planar vacuum surface using applied vacuum pressure;holding the flat, planar vacuum surface in a stationary position as an article to be labeled enters a label application zone adjacent to the flat, planar vacuum surface; andapplying the label to the article to be labeled in the label application zone while holding the flat, planar vacuum surface in the stationary position.2. The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a film comprising a blend of about 90% to 99% polyester and about 1% to 10% biodegradable aliphatic or aromatic polyester (by weight). It has been surprisingly discovered that polymeric films comprising the disclosed blend exhibit improved flexibility and impact strength compared to polyester films known in the art. Films with the disclosed blends also advantageously do not adversely affect recyclability of the film. A system for use in manufacturing vapor-generating articles may include a rotatable drum that is configured to hold a plurality of the vapor-generating articles. The system may also include a tagging drum that is configured to tag a respective label to a housing of each of the vapor-generating articles. The system may also include a pressing roller that is configured to press a leading edge of the label against the housing after the tagging. The system may further include a rolling drum that is configured to roll the label around the housing after the pressing. 1. A system for applying a label to a vaping article , comprising:a rotatable drum configured to hold a vaping article including a housing and a label tagged to the housing;a pressing roller configured to press a leading edge of the label against the housing while the vaping article is in a seat of the rotatable drum; anda rolling drum arranged downstream from the pressing roller, the rolling drum configured to roll the label around the housing.2. A transport system for cylindrical products to be labelled includes a first conveyor and a second conveyor. The first conveyor has pairs of support members for supporting the cylindrical products, which are predisposed parallel to one another and mutually distanced so as to identify a free space between them. The second conveyor is a looped conveyor having an upper branch and arranged with the free space present between the pairs of support members and comprises pairs of idle rollers which, when moving along the upper branch, are interposed with each support member pair. The upper branch has an ascending portion so that the rollers can abut the products transported by the support member pairs and raise the products from the housings so that the products are supported only by idle rollers when they transit at an abutting means of a label applicator. 1. Systems and methods for applying decorations from a web onto substrates are disclosed. According to some aspects, a decoration may be transferred from the web directly to a substrate based on contact of the substrate with an adhesive of a portion of the decoration while the portion of the decoration is attached to the web. 1. A system for transferring decorations to substrates , comprising:a continuous web including a plurality of decorations provided on a first side of the web, each decoration having a pressure sensitive adhesive exposed on a surface of the decoration facing outwardly from the first side of the web;an application station at which the decorations are transferred from the web to substrates;a web path along which the web travels to transport the decorations to the application station;a substrate transport configured to move the substrates to the label application station;a web control system including at least one web controller configured to move the web at the application station to position a decoration on the web for transfer to a substrate; andan actuator arranged to move the web and the substrate toward each other to apply an enhanced application force during transfer of the decoration to the substrate;wherein the application station is configured to transfer a decoration from the web directly to a substrate based on contact of the substrate with the pressure sensitive adhesive of a portion of the decoration while the portion of the decoration is attached to the web.2.
