При этом ручки имеют концы, неотъемлемо соединенные с ними в местах, отстоящих по углу друг от друга. A lid 30 rotatably engages a container 20 by a rim 28A on one being received by a channel 38 on the other so that their surfaces engage. Ideally the channel is a downward facing channel on the lid and the rim is on the container. The container could also have an upstanding wall surrounding the rim forming a further channel to receive the outer wall of the lids channel. The surfaces could have complementary tapered inter engaging formations 42, 52 which move with minimal interference until they snap fit 46, 56 with the leading end of a flange on the lid abuts against the seat 48 of a flange on the container. Stackable storage bin

A stackable storage bin includes a body having a rim extending around an open top. A first angled slot is formed in an upper edge of each side wall adjacent a rear end thereof and a vertical second slot is formed in the upper edge of each side wall at a position forwardly from the first slot. An angled first tab is formed adjacent the bottom edge of each side wall in a position vertically aligned with the first slot and a vertical second tab is formed adjacent a bottom edge of each side wall at a position vertically aligned with the vertical second slot whereby when two of the bins are in the vertically stacked array, the tabs on the bottom of an upper bin engage the slots on the lower bin to interlock the two bins together.

Method for manufacturing a paper container

A process for realising a container from a foldable sheet comprises stages of at least partially insering a closure element ( 5 ) made of paper material (extensible paper) provided with a base wall ( 6 ) and a lateral wall ( 7 ) internally of a housing chamber ( 4 ) of the container. Stackable containers and associated method for the transport of plants

A filling and transport system is provided in which containers are filled with potting mix or similar growing medium at a first location and transported as a transport module to a second location where plants are planted in the growing medium within the pot. The transport module used to transport the containers and closures containing the growing medium are arranged in a sandwich-like arrangement between two or more stabilising plates having respective retaining elements for engaging with either the base of the containers or the top surface of the closures to retain the containers in stacked relationship to one another during transportation by forming a stable transport module. Each closure is provided with a former for forming and maintaining a void or cavity in the growing medium, particularly during transportation so that the containers arrive at the growers with a preformed bore for receiving the plants. The advantage of the planting and transport system is that growers of plants can plant containers more efficiently since the containers arrive at the growers containing the growing medium ready for planting which obviates the need for the grower to fill the containers on site and form a void before planting.

A container having a locking mechanism with integrated tamper evident attribute is provided. In one embodiment, a male portion of geometrically shaped protrusions are provided on the lid or base of the container. A female portion of geometrically shaped openings corresponding to the male portion is provided on the base or lid of the container, respectively. A perforation is provided around the male portion such that once the male portion is locked into the female portion, the only means to open the container is to tear the perforation and cause the male portion to be removed from the lid or base of its origin. The tamper evident feature becomes apparent when the lid is pulled to open the container. The tension created when the lid is lifted in an upward motion will tear the male portion of the perforated lock away from the lid leaving it securely locked into the female base.

A substantially crimpless and monolithic paperboard container lid and method of making same is provided. The lid comprises a single contiguous molded paperboard body configured to conformingly couple to a top periphery of a container for covering the container's opening. The body includes a sealing ring located adjacent the body's periphery. The sealing ring includes a sealing channel composed of a radiused cross-section that extends to a tangent ring terminating with a tab ring. The radiused cross-section and tangent ring assist providing a snug fit between the lid and the container. Despite being made from paperboard, the lid does not include one or more substantial crimps in the sealing ring. Having no substantial crimps, the lid fits onto the container and prevents fluid from leaking between the container's periphery and the lid.

The two engage with each other by a first lip (of the container) and a second lip (of the cover). The user can thereby drink from the beverage can without the user's lips touching the can surface. Also it appears to an observer that the user is drinking from the disposable cup, not the beverage can, and also the beverage can is insulated to keep it cold. According to one embodiment, the lid has a standard outer circumference which engages and seals with the rim of the disposable cup. PACKAGE WITH OPPOSING LOCKING MECHANISMS

The container includes a base and a lid pivotally coupled to the base. The base includes a bottom wall and a peripheral wall, where a plurality of receptacles are defined in the peripheral wall. The peripheral wall is configured to be moved from a relaxed position to a flexed position by applying a first force to a first portion of the peripheral wall in a first direction and a second force to a second portion of the peripheral wall in a second direction. The lid includes a top wall and a plurality of projections. In the relaxed position, the lid is configured to engage the receptacles so as to retain the lid in a closed configuration. The container is configured to be moved from the closed configuration to an open configuration by moving the lid in a third direction while the peripheral wall is in the flexed position.

Tamper-evident plastic container

Tamper-evident plastic container comprises a base portion having a sidewall and a base flange extending outwardly from at least a portion of the sidewall, as well as a lid portion having a lid tab joined to the base flange by a hinge, wherein the lid portion has an open position and a closed position. The lid portion is configured to lockingly engage the base portion in the closed position. One of the base flange or the lid tab has a non-linear path of weakness formed therein to define a frangible connection, wherein the frangible connection is configured to be ruptured to initially open the lid portion from the closed position. The non-linear path of weakness is spaced from the hinge to define a tamper indicator region between the non-linear path of weakness and the hinge, wherein the tamper indicator region remains joined to the hinge after the frangible connection is ruptured. Methods of containing a product in a tamper-evident container are also disclosed.

A container is formed to include an interior region and a mouth opening into the interior region. The container includes a floor and a side wall coupled to the floor to define the interior region between the floor and the side wall.

Container

A container is disclosed which can include a container base having a cavity therein, a thermal source disposable in the cavity of the base, an insert being insertable within the cavity of the base such that the insert is in close proximity to the thermal source, and a cover. The cover and the insert can define a sealable compartment for the storage of food items. In other embodiments, the cover can be engageable directly with the base to define a storage compartment. The thermal source can act as either or both a heater and a cooler to help maintain the food items stored in the container at a desired temperature.

The said vessel comprises a neck with a hole, while the cap comprises a sealing plate with a skirt extending around the neck outer surface. The skirt inner surface has a continuous circular flange tightly jointed to the back side of the continuous circular shoulder fitted on the neck outer side and directed downward to prevent the cap axial shift relative to the vessel. The circular flange axial section features an elongated shape, the flange proper being jointed to the cap by a flexible movable coupler. The flange free end extreme surface is tightly coupled with the said shoulder back side. Note that elasticity of the said movable joint facilitates the tightness of the joint between the aforesaid free end side surface and the neck outer surface. Packaging system assembly for carry-out food

A packaging system assembly for carry-out food includes (a) a plurality of sealable and stackable disposable containers; and (b) a multilayer composite carry-out bag which is preferably substantially water vapor and liquid-impervious provided with an apertured handle and at least front, back and preferably bottom panels, said carry-out bag further including a mechanical interlock for securing the front panel thereof to the rear panel thereof in generally water vapor impermeable relationship. The bottom panel is preferably substantially congruent in shape to the sealable and stackable disposable containers and is characterized by an internal perimeter sized to accommodate a stack of the plurality of sealable containers having a common outer container perimeter to form the packaging system assembly and maintain the stack in alignment during transport thereof.

Reclosable cup lid with sliding member and scalloped track

A reclosable cup lid thermoformed from a polymeric material includes a domed member and a closure panel. The thermoformed domed member is provided with a sidewall and a top wall, the top wall having upper and lower surfaces and a drinking aperture at a periphery of the top wall. The top wall further defines a pair of engagement tracks depending from the lower surface of the top wall and also defines a post aperture disposed inwardly with respect to the drinking aperture. The closure panel has opposed engagement edges, an upper surface provided with a post projecting upwardly therefrom, and a drinking aperture sealing area. As assembled, the domed member and closure panel are configured such that the opposed engagement edges of the closure panel are slidingly mounted in the engagement tracks for generally radial displacement.

Disposable cup lid

A disposable cup lid including a body and a mounting portion extending around the periphery of the body. The body defines a suitably shaped clearance area to accommodate a person's nose when drinking the contents of a cup having the lid positioned thereon. The body also defines an enhanced drinking area which is suitably configured to provide a person with a drinking experience more similar to the drinking experience of drinking from an uncovered cup or glass. In one embodiment, the body includes a raised portion which defines a lip engaging front wall and an enhanced drinking area. The enhanced drinking area includes a closure member having an upwardly extending gripping member and a drink-through opening initially covered by the closure member, wherein the drink-through opening is positioned substantially adjacent to the lip engaging front wall. The closure member is movable about a hinge from an initial closed position to an open position. The closure member of the top wall is also movable into a locking position wherein the gripping member frictionally engages the walls of a locking recess.

Disposable cup lid

A disposable cup lid including a body and a mounting portion extending around the periphery of the body. A reclosable cup lid thermoformed from a polymeric material includes a domed member and a closure panel. The thermoformed domed member is provided with a sidewall and a top wall, the top wall having upper and lower surfaces and a drinking aperture at a periphery of the top wall. The top wall further defines a pair of engagement tracks depending from the lower surface of the top wall and also defines a post aperture disposed inwardly with respect to the drinking aperture. The closure panel has opposed engagement edges, an upper surface provided with a post projecting upwardly therefrom, and a drinking aperture sealing area. As assembled, the domed member and closure panel are configured such that the opposed engagement edges of the closure panel are slidingly mounted in the engagement tracks for generally radial displacement.

Rigid reclosable bacon package

A shaped generally rigid, polymeric sealed package having an ordered set of bacon pieces is provided. The ordered pieces can be provided as multiple arrays of bacon strips, whether whole, partial or broken slices. Each array can include a plurality of bacon pieces with a flexible sheeting positioned between vertically adjacent bacon piece arrays. Corresponding slices from respective arrays are in general vertical alignment with each other so as to form multiple stacks of bacon pieces. A generally rigid cover or pedestal is releasably hermetically secured to a rigid tray or bubble. Package walls are substantially transparent so that the consumer can readily inspect, prior to purchase, multiple entire lengths of bacon slice surfaces. The package is especially advantageous when the bacon pieces are in the form of partially-to-fully-cooked slices or slice portions. The bacon pieces are supported in their ordered set configuration by engagement, directly or indirectly, with interior surfaces of the sealed package.

Storage container lids

The invention is directed to storage containers and lids for storage containers which provide for a secure closure and a storage container which is airtight and leakproof. The lid includes a generally U-shaped closure made of a plastic material for securing to a container base; a center window also made of a plastic material and preferably the same as the U-shaped closure; and a thermoplastic material which provides for a sealing gasket on the underside of the U-shaped closure for mating with the container base and a perimeter seal on the outside of the U-shaped closure and around the outer circumference of the center window. The lid may further include a gripping tab made at least in part of thermoplastic material in the lid corner for opening or closing the container, and wings made of a thermoplastic material in one or more portions or corners of the lid.

Peripheral groove run between cover edge and main surface of cover. Cover edge extends beyond main cover surface axial position along main axis because of outer flange. Outer flange top part protrudes outward with curvature radius greater than that of container top edge to form rolled edge accommodating annular packing material that fills said rolled edge to run downward so that: free edge of rolled edge terminates at radial distance from outer flange. Note here that said distance is selected so that, in sealing, container top edge runs between outer flange and sealing material to be kept by free end inside rolled edge.
