При этом ручки имеют концы, неотъемлемо соединенные с ними в местах, отстоящих по углу друг от друга. Ручки могут перемещаться в середине посредством деформации их концевых участков из нерабочего положения, по существу компланарного верхнему краю, и в котором они удерживаются до первого открывания крышки, соединенных с уплотняющим участком в середине посредством разрушаемых средств, к поднятому рабочему положению после разрушения разрушаемых средств. Reclosable plastic container consists of a container wall which conically widens from the base to the container opening with a projecting container edge bent outwards as well as a cover which has a sealing contact with its inner edge to the container wall, and with its outer edge fits under the edge of the container. The cover edge has a cut out which divides the edge into a tear off projection fitted with a loop and a part of the bulge remaining on the cover. The tear off bulge or the safety ring fits under or surrounds the container edge or its edge bulge with the reclosure bulge permanently fitting under the container edge.

Thermoformed package with tamper evident seal

A thermoformed clamshell package with a pair of closing flanges and a double-sided adhesive for joining the closing flanges to seal the package. The package includes a carrier flange that carries the double-sided adhesive prior to sealing and a sealing flange that is brought into contact with the double-sided adhesive to seal the package. The package may include a frangible portion in the flange region for gaining access to the contents of the package after it has been sealed without breaking the adhesive seal created by the double-sided adhesive. The carrier flange may include a channel for seating the double-sided adhesive and for denesting adjacent packages when nested together for shipping and/or storage. The package may include one or more display strips disposed in the flange region. The present invention also provides a method for packaging articles in a package with a tamper-evident seal, and a method for manufacturing a package with a tamper-evident seal.

Method for manufacturing a paper container

A process for realising a container from a foldable sheet comprises stages of at least partially insering a closure element ( 5 ) made of paper material (extensible paper) provided with a base wall ( 6 ) and a lateral wall ( 7 ) internally of a housing chamber ( 4 ) of the container. The lateral wall ( 7 ) of the closure element ( 5 ) is inserted and located at a portion ( 3 a ) of the wall ( 3 ) of the container ( 1 ). Also comprised is a stage of contemporary deformation of the lateral wall ( 7 ) of the closure element ( 5 ) and the portion ( 3 a ) of wall of the container ( 1 ) in order to realise corresponding grooves ( 9, 10 ) on the parts, destined to define coupling and decoupling surfaces by rotation between the closure element ( 5 ) and the container ( 1 ). The use of extensible paper advantageously enables easy realisation of the coupling grooves by rotation.

Stackable containers and associated method for the transport of plants

A filling and transport system is provided in which containers are filled with potting mix or similar growing medium at a first location and transported as a transport module to a second location where plants are planted in the growing medium within the pot. The transport module used to transport the containers and closures containing the growing medium are arranged in a sandwich-like arrangement between two or more stabilising plates having respective retaining elements for engaging with either the base of the containers or the top surface of the closures to retain the containers in stacked relationship to one another during transportation by forming a stable transport module. Each closure is provided with a former for forming and maintaining a void or cavity in the growing medium, particularly during transportation so that the containers arrive at the growers with a preformed bore for receiving the plants. The advantage of the planting and transport system is that growers of plants can plant containers more efficiently since the containers arrive at the growers containing the growing medium ready for planting which obviates the need for the grower to fill the containers on site and form a void before planting.

Cup lid manufacturing process

A substantially crimpless and monolithic paperboard container lid and method of making same is provided. The lid comprises a single contiguous molded paperboard body configured to conformingly couple to a top periphery of a container for covering the container's opening. The body includes a sealing ring located adjacent the body's periphery. The sealing ring includes a sealing channel composed of a radiused cross-section that extends to a tangent ring terminating with a tab ring. The radiused cross-section and tangent ring assist providing a snug fit between the lid and the container. Despite being made from paperboard, the lid does not include one or more substantial crimps in the sealing ring. Having no substantial crimps, the lid fits onto the container and prevents fluid from leaking between the container's periphery and the lid.

A tamper-evident container formed by thermoforming includes a tub having a bottom and a sidewall forming an interior volume. The container has a lid with an edge extending peripherally outward therefrom which is configured to mate with the tub edge to close the container. The lid edge has an inner portion and an outer portion with a perforated section therebetween. The perforated section extends continuously around the entire periphery of the lid, whereby the outer portion forms a tamper-evident seal removable from the inner portion for removing the lid from the tub. In at least one embodiment, the disclosed containers and container lids provide a liquid-tight seal without the use of gaskets, and can facilitate full submersion of solid items when the container is filled with liquid. For example, in certain embodiments, a container lid includes a brine disc panel with alternating hatched patterns of downward protruding ridges. Thus, in these embodiments, liquids within the container can pass between the protruding ridges (e.g., with the protruding ridges extending downwardly into the liquid) and the protruding ridges may keep solids that tend to float in the liquid below a surface of the liquid.

A lid is provided which permits a user to drink from a beverage can suspended within the interior of a disposable coffee cup. The user can thereby drink from the beverage can without the user's lips touching the can surface. According to one embodiment, the lid has a standard outer circumference which engages and seals with the rim of the disposable cup. The present invention is directed to containers and packaging that incorporate novel tamper evident features that make prominent the evidence of tamper. In particular, the novel tamper prominent containers of the present invention comprise newly designed tamper prominent images, i.e., prominent continuity control (PCC) images. A method of providing packaged food items on display in a retail store includes preparing a plurality of food body portions of respective food items and loading each of the food items into respective cavities of a container. The container has a lid with at least one protrusion extending downward from a planar upper surface of the lid. After decorating each of the food body portions of the food items with a decoration portion on an upper surface of the food body portion, the lid is closed thereby moving a first retainer of the protrusion to overlie a first marginal portion adjacent the decoration portion of a first upper surface of a first food item and moving a second retainer of the protrusion to overlie a second marginal portion adjacent the decoration portion of a second upper surface of a second food item.

Disclosed is an airtight container in which a lid is easily opened by the principle of the lever thus preventing broth from splashing out when the lid is opened. The airtight container includes a container body having a latching bump and a bent flange, a rotating knob connected to the flange and having an opening-closing plate and a step portion, and a lid having a latching protrusion, a downwardly bent flange and a lid extension portion, wherein, when the rotating knob is just rotated upward in a state where the lid is coupled to the container body, the opening-closing plate lifts the lid extension portion by “the principle of the lever” while the step portion prevents the lid extension portion from spreading outwards, thereby allowing the latching protrusion to be released from the latching bump and the lid to be opened from the container body.

A microwaveable food storage container including a unitary base having a generally planar bottom portion and a sidewall extending generally upwardly therefrom, the sidewall of the base including base sealing means for cooperating with a lid to form a seal; an injection-molded lid provided with resettable freshness indicator means at least in part integrally formed with the lid; a resealable vent preferably with a hinged vent panel integrally formed in the lid; and lid sealing means for cooperating with the base sealing means to form an annular interference-fit seal when the lid and base are joined. Preferably the base is an injection-molded base formed from a polypropylene resin such as isotactic polypropylene. In other embodiments, the polypropylene resin composition comprises a propylene/ethylene copolymer. Preferably, the base has a chamfered guide shoulder as well as an inwardly projecting annular sealing protuberance at the upper sidewall to define a notch wherein a sealing band in the lid is wedged when the base and lid are joined to form a closed container.

A reusable collapsible container includes a bottom wall and a relatively flexible, peripheral side wall extending upwardly from the bottom wall, the side wall movable between axially extended and collapsed positions. The side wall includes lower and upper relatively thicker portions and an intermediate relatively thinner portion, and the upper portion joins with an annular rim adapted to receive a removable cap. The intermediate side wall portion is tapered radially inwardly and downwardly, and the lower side wall portion is tapered radially outwardly and downwardly substantially to the bottom wall, such that in a collapsed position, the lower side wall portion is partially telescoped within the upper side wall portion, with the intermediate portion reverse folded therebetween.
