The sheet feeder for a printer or similar device has a magazine (1) for contg. a number of sheets (20) defining a predetermined thickness, and which has a fixed base (3) with a pivotally attached plate (4). The latter is vertically displaceable between two positions. In the first position, sheets are drawn against a friction feed device (30) by an elastic element (26). The friction feeder extracts the top sheet from the magazine. In the second position, the sheets are clear of the extraction element.The magazine has lateral guide elements (10,11) between which the sheets are held. At least one guide has a projection (19) extending towards the sheets and arranged such that all the sheets (20) are laterally in contact with it, when the plate is in the second position. When the plate is in the first position, the top sheet is free of the guide projection. The thickness of the latter corresponds to the lateral play of the upper sheet in relation to the guides to allow free withdrawal.

A paper feeding mechanism includes a paper cassette, a feeding roller, a baffle, and a paper separating apparatus. The paper cassette stores stacks of paper. The feeding roller pulls a sheet of paper from the paper cassette and feeds the sheet of paper into a paper transport path. The baffle is located at a side of the paper cassette. Systems and methods are provided for dispensing sheets of material (e.g. tissues, wipes, towels, etc.) from a container or other suitable receptacle for storing the sheets of material for dispensing therefrom. The dispenser systems are integrated with storage and/or organizer, which are configured to be above, below, behind, or in front of a dispenser without affecting the dispensing function of the system. The dispensers can be used in a vertical position, capable of dispensing a sheet in a downward or upward direction when mounted on a wall, for example, or in a horizontal position, capable of dispensing a sheet sideways and/or popup direction. One of the advantages of these dispensers is that it allows a prior art flat top tissue box for use in a vertical position, i.e., standing up on its end, thereby taking even less horizontal space than the cubic tissue box. In accordance with one embodiment, an image forming apparatus comprises a cassette for paper feed configured to contain a tray capable of stacking papers stored in a packaging member of which one end portion is opened, together with the packaging member; a paper feed section configured to contain a pickup roller which picks up the papers stored in the packaging member from the opened end portion of the packaging member; a regulating member configured to regulate that the packaging member is conveyed from the tray of the cassette; and a protrusion configured to be formed and protrude from the regulating member to cover the opened end portion of the packaging member. 1. An image forming apparatus , comprising:a cassette for paper feed configured to include a tray capable of stacking papers as stored in a packaging member, the packaging member opens one end portion when the papers are set on the tray;a paper feed section configured to include a pickup roller which picks up the papers stored in the packaging member from an opened end portion of the packaging member;a driving section configured to lift the tray of the cassette to the pickup roller side according to the reduction of remaining amount of papers stacked on the tray of the cassette;a regulating member configured to regulate that the packaging member is conveyed together with a conveyance of the papers, when the papers are fed from the tray of the cassette;a protrusion configured to be formed on the regulating member and arranged at an upper portion of the opened end portion of the packaging member; andan image forming section configured to form an image on the paper conveyed by the paper feed section.2.
