The invention relates to a tape comprising from (i) about 75 wt % to about 99.9 wt % of a thermoplastic polyester, (ii) from about 0.1 wt % to about 25 wt % of a linear low-density polyethylene and (iii) from 0 wt % to about 5 wt % of other components, said tape having a thickness from 5 μm to 300 μm and a width from 0.5 mm to 7 mm. This tape shows no twinning and sticking to other tapes after slitting, has very good mechanical properties. When the tape is wound, bobbins having a regular shape can be obtained. 1. A bat is created using efficient and automated techniques to apply layers of composite materials onto a mandrel. The system includes a plurality of rotating wrapping mechanisms binding stages. An equine bandage wrapping device includes a motor with a rotating drive shaft mounted on a hinged bracket. A forked spindle coupled to the motor engages the bandage. The hinged bracket pivots in response to external force causing a torque on the hinge. The external force is supplied by the user pulling slightly against the bandage while it is secured to the forks. Such force is resisted by a spring disposed between a base plate and the underside of the floating end of the hinged bracket. If sufficient force is applied to overcome the spring force, then the electrical circuit between the motor and power source is closed, resulting in the motor turning on. The circuit is opened by removing the external force to cause the spring to return to its extended position, resulting in the motor stopping movement.

To minimize the cost of a fiber web due to the web, particularly a board web, being manufactured overly thick to compensate for loss of caliper in the reel-up, the web is made thicker just for the inner layers of what will become a parent roll. The caliper of the web is measured as or after it is unwound. A caliper curve of the parent roll as a function of the diameter of the parent roll is calculated as a function of the diameter of the parent roll and/or the customer roll. The fiber web is adjusted by changing running parameters of the production line: web speed i.e. production speed, headbox-flow, head-box consistency, coating weight of the coating paste or calender nip load. 1. A method in a fiber web production line of minimizing changes in caliper of a fiber web produced on the fiber web production line after the fiber web is wound into a parent roll , the method comprising the steps of:forming a fiber web in web production line of a targeted caliper;wherein before a parent roll is started in a reel-up of the fiber web production line, a first length of the fiber web is formed with a caliper greater than the targeted caliper such that as the parent roll is begun, the first length of the fiber web is wound to form a first part of the parent roll with the fiber web of greater caliper;winding a second part of the parent roll with the fiber web having a second length with a caliper of the targeted caliper to form the parent roll; andwherein the fiber web of greater caliper is arranged so as to compensate for loss of web caliper in the parent roll as wound, such that the caliper of the fiber web wound in the parent roll as formed varies less than if it was formed with a constant caliper.2. A method of wrapping a mandrel with a composite material for the fabrication of a composite core , the method comprising:securing a mandrel with a winding jig;orienting a slit of composite material at a wrap angle to the mandrel, the slit having a prescribed width that is dependent upon the wrap angle and a circumference of the mandrel; andwrapping the slit of composite material around a circumference of the mandrel starting from a first end of the mandrel.2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the slit of composite material is at least partially uncured.3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the slit of composite material includes fibers that are pre-impregnated with a resin.4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the slit of composite material has fibers oriented in only one direction.5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the slit of composite material has fibers oriented in more than one direction.6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the prescribed width is calculated by multiplying a circumference of the mandrel by the cosine of the wrap angle.7. A method for producing a separator for use in a lithium-ion secondary battery by slitting , in a direction in which a separator original sheet being porous is conveyed , the separator original sheet into a plurality of separators , the method comprising the steps of;(a) conveying the separator original sheet in a state where the separator original sheet is in contact with a roller; and(b) slitting the separator original sheet at a portion where the separator original sheet is in contact with the roller,in the step (b), the separator original sheet being slit at a position that is located on an. end position side of a middle position on a circumferential surface of the roller which middle position corresponds to a midpoint of a straight line via which a start position, at which the separator original sheet starts to be wound on the roller, and an end position} at which winding of the plurality of separators on the roll ends, are connected to each other and that is located on an upstream side of the end position.2. The method as set forth in claim 1 , wherein:in the step (b), the separator original sheet is slit by a slitting blade provided on a side of the separator original sheet which side is opposite to a side on which the roller is provided; andthe roller has a groove at a position corresponding to the slitting blade.3. Process for the production of paper rolls, including a step of producing logs (L) of paper material by winding a predetermined amount of paper web (W) about a respective longitudinal axis, a step of transverse cutting of the logs (L) to obtain rolls (RO) of predetermined length, and an intermediate step of transporting the logs (L) from a rewinder (R) that produces the logs (L) toward a cutting-off machine (CM) that cuts them transversely.
