This feature obviates the need to use spacers, stops, springs and the like in a distal portion of the protective sleeve to maintain correct position of the radiation source within the protective sleeve. Further, the present radiation source assembly is advantageous in that allows for withdrawal of the radiation source from the radiation source assembly without the need to disengage all of the components. Thus, it is possible to replace a single radiation source by removing it from the protective sleeve during operation of the fluid treatment system. This operation can be accomplished quickly without the need to shut down the fluid treatment system or otherwise compensate for the fact that one of the radiation source is being serviced.

The invention provides a filtration system with a rotating core driving thimble opening and closing water passage, comprising a casing, a filter and a connector, wherein the filter and the connector are connected and fixed in an inner cavity of the casing, the casing consists of an upper cover of the casing and a lower cover of the casing, which are connected via a connecting member; a connector core of the present invention has a groove and a boss thereon, the connector core, a water intake thimble and a water outtake thimble are tightly pressed by a spring, when the connector is rotated, the water intake thimble and the water outtake thimbles are raised from the position of the groove to the position of the boss, and the water passage is opened. When disassembled, the connector is lowered from the position of the boss to the position of the groove, and the water passage is closed, preventing the leakage of the connector water due to the removal of a filter element. Due to the action of the spring, even if the water intake thimble and the water outtake thimble are worn seriously, the water intake sealing ring and the water outtake thimble sealing ring is attached to a water intake thimble sleeve and a water outtake thimble sleeve, realizing the sealing and not causing the leakage phenomenon.

A push filter design activates a floating key lock upon insertion and extraction, where the filter key may be used simultaneously as a lock and as an identifier for particular filter attributes. The filter base may be situated inline, and in fluid communication, with the raw water ingress, permeate egress, and reject water egress. The reverse osmosis filter housing assembly may be attached to, and removed from, the filter base by a push-actuated release. A design is provided for a component and for an opening in a wall of a product which is to receive the component. The component has a barrel for passing through the opening with a set of lugs at the end of the barrel. Each lug has a clamping surface facing a head part of the component, and the region between the clamping surface and the head part forms a clamping zone. The opening is for example circular. A stepped thickness portion of the wall follows an arc from a locally thinnest portion to a locally thickest portion. The steps and/or the lugs are sloped upwardly towards the locally thickest end of the arc. To fit the component, it is inserted through the opening (for example with the lugs deforming inwardly) and then twisted. The twisting engages the lugs with the stepped thickness portion, providing a progressive ratcheted clamping function. 1. A split case adapted to hold water filtration units in a water filtration subassembly. The interior of the case holds three water filtration units arranged in series. The filtration units are in fluid communication with each other through fluid connectors. The assembly includes a water input member and a water output member, each generally positioned at opposing ends of the split case, each partially exposed to the space outside the case through apertures in the walls of the split case, and each providing fluid communication between the outside world and the water filtration subassembly.
