A treated water indicating system and method are described. The water indicating system includes a water treatment unit and a tap. The water treatment unit receives water. The tap includes an indicator light. The indicator light is configured to produce a visible indication of a state of the water treatment unit, in which the indicator light operates in a first mode to produce a visible indication that the water treatment unit is in a first state producing acidic water. Additionally, the indicator light operates in a second mode to produce a visible indication that the water treatment unit is in a second state producing ionized alkaline water. Furthermore, the indicator light operates in a third mode to produce a visible indication that the water treatment unit is in a third state producing ionized purified water. The tap is configured to be coupled to the water treatment unit. 1. The filter includes a water tight enclosure formed between two layers of a polymeric material, an inlet and an outlet are coupled to the water tight enclosure. A filter envelope including a quantity of filter media is inside the water tight enclosure. The water filter having a minimal thickness when not filled with water. The filter envelope is formed by a first set of bonded segments of the two layers of polymeric material. A surface filter for aquarium water purification is placed on the bottom of the aquarium that sucks the waste out of the tank to the canister filter. Small plastic pieces make and connect the main stream channels. Each plastic piece is composed of a couple of inverted pyramids that acts like a funnel. Water flows through the main channels sucked by an external filter. In the base of each inverted pyramid a small hole opens to the drainage channel, which has a hollow inverted V shape. Water, particles and fish waste are passed through the channels to the external filter. At the end of the assembly a cross channel collects the drained water. Collected water is transferred to the external filter outside the aquarium. A hose connects the external filter with the collector. Another hose is connected to the same filter to return the filtered water back to the aquarium.

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a new microorganism that is useful for efficiently decomposing oils and fats, and a use for said microorganism. According to screening results, a new Yarrowia lipolytica having a high capacity to assimilate free fatty acids was successfully obtained. Efficient decomposition of oils and fats is achieved by causing the Yarrowia lipolytica to act under conditions in which fatty acids that are hydrolysis products of oils or fats are present, or under conditions in which oils or fats are decomposed into fatty acids and glycerol.

The present disclosure teaches a UV dosimeter comprising a UV-sensitive layer and a barrier that protects the UV-sensitive layer.
