Calcium magnesium phosphates suitable as fertilizers are produced by decomposing natural raw or bone phosphates with p sulphuric acid to the extent of complete conversion to monocalcium phosphate, and shortly before the termination of the process, i.e. when the material contains 3-6 per cent free P2O5, adding ground or calcined dolomite in such amounts that the end product contains no free phosphoric acid, but say, 1.5-3 per cent water-soluble phosphoric acid, and at least 14 or 16 per cent citric acid-soluble phosphoric acid, depending on whether raw or calcined dolomite has been used.

A method for decomposing struvite comprises dissolving of a feed material comprising struvite in a mineral acid. Thereby a solution having an acid pH is formed. Magnesium is removed from the solution. The removing of magnesium comprises increasing a pH of the solution to a pH in the range of 4.5 to 6, precipitating magnesium compounds that do not comprise ammonium, and separating the precipitated magnesium compounds from the solution. Thereby, the solution, after the removing of magnesium, comprises an ammonium salt of the mineral acid. An arrangement for performing such a method is also disclosed. Also, a method and arrangement for recovering at least nitrogen from waste material, based on the decomposing of struvite are disclosed.

(B) after completion of reaction at approximately the same temp. the magnesium hydrogen phosphate is sepd. from the soln., (C) after slight evaporation and cooling the crystallised potassium salt of the mineral acid employed in step A is isolated, and (D) the resulting mother liquor is recycled. Potassium nitrate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate etc. are produced for use e.g. in fertilizer prodn. The technically simple process is for prodn. of technical-grade water-soluble potassium salts without the need to evaporate large amounts of water.

Способ включает смешение торфа и струвита в соотношении 1,36:1-02,33:1 по массе воздушно-сухих компонентов. Для улучшения их смешения струвит предварительно суспендируют в воде, количество воды берется в расчете на получение пасты с влажностью в интервале 40-60 мас.%. Полученную пасту гранулируют при температуре 18-25°С методом экструзии и гранулированный материал сушат при температуре не выше 25°С. Техническим результатом является получение гранул удобрения со статической прочностью 1,2-3,0 Мпа, улучшение качества удобрения за счет использования минеральной составляющей с более высоким содержанием азота, и не обладающую при этом способностью терять аммиачный азот в ходе получения удобрения в гранулированной форме. 1 ил., 4 табл., 3 пр.

The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises a modification of the process of the parent Specification for producing potassium nitrate and dimagnesium phosphate, wherein crude phosphate is decomposed with nitric acid, and is treated with a mixture of potassium and magnesium sulphates, or a suitable natural compound such as schonite, leonite or langbeinite, the quantity of magnesium being chosen equivalent to precipitate the phosphoric acid as dimagnesium phosphate. After the separation of gypsum, the solution is treated with potassium carbonate to precipitate the bulk of the magnesium as dimagnesium phosphate, which is separated. The remaining, say, 1 per cent is precipitated by further addition of potassium carbonate as trimagnesium phosphate, which is subsequently used to precipitate dimagnesium phosphate. The present invention relates to a process for generating steam and recovering salts during a lignocellulosic conversion process. The process comprises de-salting a still bottoms stream; incinerating a stream comprising lignin and the de-salted still bottoms stream in an incinerator; and utilizing the heat generated from said incinerating to produce steam. Further provided is a process that comprises feeding a concentrated still bottoms stream to a crystallizer and forming insoluble solids therein comprising salts. Furthermore, the invention relates to a process for recovering salts from a lignocellulosic conversion process, which process comprises the addition of solvent to a still bottoms stream to precipitate salts therefrom. Also provided is a still bottoms composition, a fertilizer product and a composition for incineration.

Disclosed is a method for preparing a high-solubility nitrogen-phosphorus water-soluble fertilizer, comprising the following steps: step 1: adding phosphoric acid, urea, a curing agent and a polymerization aid into a reactor, stirring the reaction at 70-135 °C for 60-180 minutes to obtain a reaction slurry, and controlling the polymerization rate of phosphorus in the slurry to be 10%-50%; step 2: adding the reaction slurry into a curing device, controlling the temperature of the slurry at 150-220 °C, drying and curing the slurry for 30-90 minutes to obtain a solid material, and controlling the polymerization rate of phosphorus in the dried and cured solid material to be 85%-99%; and step 3: removing the solid material from the curing device and cooling same to 40-70 °C, and then crushing same, so as to obtain a powdery high-solubility nitrogen-phosphorus water-soluble fertilizer. The method is used for quickly preparing the high-solubility nitrogen-phosphorus water-soluble fertilizer, and has the advantage of simple process.

A method for decomposing struvite comprises dissolving (S10), in sulphuric acid, of a feed material comprising struvite, thereby forming a solution. Phosphate ions are removed (S20) from the solution. Magnesium compounds are precipitated (S40) from the solution, after the removing of phosphate ions. This precipitation of magnesium compounds is caused by increasing a pH of the solution. By the precipitation of magnesium compounds a solution comprising ammonium sulphate is formed. An arrangement for performing the method is also disclosed. Also, a method for recovering at least one of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium from waste material comprises precipitating of struvite from an initial liquid of waste material, by adding a magnesium source to said initial liquid of waste material and adjusting a pH to an alkaline pH, separating the precipitated struvite from the initial liquid of waste material and decomposing the separated struvite by a method according to the above concepts.
