In a preferred embodiment, two parts of the metathesiscatalyst system form the basis for two solutions, a catalyst/ monomer solution and an alkylaluminum iodide activator/monomer solution. At least one solution also contains a blowing agent. The solutions are combined in one place, such as the mixing head of a reaction injection molding machine, and then injected into another place, such as a mold, where the monomer reacts to form a cellular crosslinked polymer.

Light-coloured resins are obtained from coal tar naphtha fractions by treating the fraction before and/or after polymerization with one or more of:- alumina, sodium aluminate (solid or in solution), alum solution, aluminium sulphate solution. The fractions are those boiling between 140 DEG and 220 DEG C. and contain indene, coumarone, styrene and their homologues. Polymerization is effected in the presence of a catalyst, e.g. sulphuric acid, aluminium chloride, boron trifluoride or hydrogen fluoride. After polymerization, the acid layer is removed, the oil is washed and neutralized with alkali and the polymers are isolated by distillation.

The present invention relates to substrates comprising a crosslinked network of covalently attached antimicrobial and/or antibiofouling polymers. A method for processing a resin product , comprising performing a modification process on a portion of a surface of the resin product not less than two times by different methods to modify the portion such that a plating metal can be deposited on the portion.2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the modification process comprises:irradiating the portion with ultraviolet light to modify the surface; andoxidizing a region including the portion to modify the surface.3. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the portion is irradiated with an ultraviolet laser having a wavelength of not more than 243 nm.4. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the portion is irradiated with the ultraviolet light in an atmosphere containing at least one of oxygen or ozone.5. The method according to claim 2 , wherein the region is irradiated with an ultraviolet light having a wavelength of not more than 243 nm.6. The method according to claim 5 , wherein the portion is irradiated with the ultraviolet light in an atmosphere containing at least one of oxygen or ozone claim 5 , and the region is irradiated with the ultraviolet light in an atmosphere containing at least one of oxygen or ozone.7. The copolymer has a density of about 0.91 g/cm3 to about 0.933 g/cm3. Films of the present disclosure can have advantageous mechanical properties (such as melt strength) and optical properties (such as haze %).

Microporous sheet product and methods of making and using the same. In one embodiment, the microporous sheet product is made by a process that includes melt-extruding a sheet material using an extrusion mixture that includes (i) a cyclic olefin copolymer, (ii) an electrolyte swellable thermoplastic, and (iii) a compatibilizing agent that promotes mixing of the cyclic olefin copolymer and the electrolyte swellable thermoplastic, the compatibilizing agent having a boiling point in the range of 135-300° C. As an example, the cyclic olefin copolymer may be an ethylene-norbornene copolymer, the electrolyte swellable thermoplastic may be polyethylene oxide, and the compatibilizing agent may be mineral spirits. After extrusion, the sheet material may be cooled, and the compatibilizing agent may be removed, forming an ionically-conductive microporous sheet product. The microporous sheet product has high-temperature stability and gels when exposed to a liquid electrolyte, enabling high ionic conductivity when used as a battery separator.

本发明涉及材料科学与工程领域,旨在提供一种用于高频覆铜板的碳氢树脂基板材料的制备方法。包括:将碳氢树脂和交联剂依次加入环己烷中,在常温下混合搅拌成均一透明的溶液;添加无机填料并持续搅拌混合,得到分散均匀的胶液;将玻纤布浸渍于胶液中,使其两面均匀覆上胶液;置于烘箱中加热,去除多余的溶剂,冷却得到半固化片;将半固化片裁切、叠合,在其两面覆以电解铜箔,再与热压钢板、耐高温尼龙布叠铺,使用真空热压机热压,得到用于高频覆铜板的碳氢树脂基板材料。本发明制备的基板材料相对于现有产品具有更低的介电常数、介电损耗、吸水率和热膨胀系数和更好的机械性能;综合性能优异,能在高频和高速通信领域中发挥积极作用。
