A carboxyalkyl cellulose ester, such as carboxymethyl cellulose acetate butyrate, is dissolved in a solvent, such as methanol or ethanol, and subsequently blended with an aminoplast crosslinker. This mixture may be used as such, or may be added to a mixture containing an alkyd resin or any other compatible polymer. The finished mixture can then be catalyzed with PTSA or any other catalyst material. In a coating, the system provides dramatically improved cure response and print and block resistance over a crosslinker containing an acrylic polyol or Styrene Allyl Alcohol, while at the same time providing improved flow and leveling.

Also included are mixed esters, mixed acetals, mixed ester-acetals or -ethers, and materials still containing free hydroxyl groups or in which some free hydroxyl groups have been regenerated by hydrolysis. The products are useful for making moulded articles, lacquers, impregnating compositions, foils and fibres and, in admixture with plasticizers such as camphor, dimethyl phthalate and triaryl esters of phosphoric acid, in making celluloid toys and photographic, e.g. safety and X-ray, films.

The invention also relates to a sized, man-made fiber substrate comprising a man-made fiber substrate and a carboxymethyl cellulose acetate butyrate size. The carboxymethyl cellulose acetate butyrate may be either an internal sizing agent, or an external sizing agent.

본 발명은 구강 내에서의 약물 용출을 억제함으로써 약물의 불쾌한 맛을 억제하고, 또한 구강 내를 통과한 후의 소화관에서는 약물의 용출성이 우수한 약물 함유 입자 및 그의 제조 방법, 및 상기 약물 함유 입자의 제조에 사용하는 코팅용 조성물, 나아가서는 상기 약물 함유 입자를 함유하는 고형 제제를 제공하는 것이다. 셀룰로오스계 장용성 기제 100질량부와, 수용성 셀룰로오스에테르 50질량부 이하를 적어도 포함하는 코팅용 조성물을 제공한다. 또한, 약물을 함유하는 핵 입자와, 상기 핵 입자를 이 코팅용 조성물에 의해 피복한 피복부를 적어도 갖는 약물 함유 입자를 제공한다. 또한, 상기 기재된 약물 함유 입자를 함유하는 고형 제제를 제공한다. 또한, 약물을 함유하는 핵 입자에 이 코팅용 조성물을 피복하는 공정을 적어도 포함하는 약물 함유 입자의 제조 방법을 제공한다.

Provided is the use of a film of a cellulose ester as a barrier against moisture and oil. The cellulose ester has free hydroxyl groups and ester substituents. The ester substituents are each individually selected from C1 to C6 alkyl ester groups. The free hydroxyl groups are present in an amount in the range 15% to 40 mol %. The film is useful as a barrier layer for food packaging. Also provided is a composition comprising the cellulose ester and a further film-forming material, a packaging material comprising a film of the composition, and a method for manufacturing the packaging material.
