An aqueous aerosol bathroom cleaner includes a surfactant, a water-soluble or dispersible organic solvent, a chelating agent and a propellant that comprises n-butane. Comparative data demonstrate that the presence of n-butane in the composition enhances the rate of bathroom soap scum removal relative to aerosol compositions that do not contain n-butane in the propellant. The amount of surfactant present is sufficient so that the composition, develops a stable foam upon being dispensed onto a soiled bathroom hard surface. The foam collapses after 10 to 60 seconds to deliver the cleaning components onto the surface.

Surfactant compositions comprising an alkoxylate, a sulfate, or ether sulfate of a C-Cmonounsaturated alcohol are disclosed. The alkoxylate, sulfate, or ether sulfate may derive from undecylenic acid or undecylenic alcohol. Compared with their saturated analogs, the monounsaturated alkoxylates, sulfates, and ether sulfates are less irritating, making them valuable for personal care, laundry, cleaners, and other household applications. Microscopy studies show that the alkoxylates, sulfates, and ether sulfates have favorable phase behavior over a wide range of actives levels, expanding opportunities for products with greater compaction. When combined with cationic surfactants, the alkoxylates, sulfates, and ether sulfates exhibit synergy, and they have improved solubility compared with their saturated analogs. The surfactants find value for the personal care, laundry and cleaning, emulsion polymerization, agricultural products, oilfield applications, and specialty foams industries. 1. Автор: SY Von Ryan

The invention is a detergent solution for cleaning a receptacle for milk or liquid milk-derived products, the detergent solution comprising water, one or more types of surfactant and an odour absorbing compound. The surfactants are provided to dissolve greasy milk-based residues from the receptacle and the odour absorbing compound is provided to neutralise odours produced by any remaining milk-based residues not removed by the surfactants. The detergent solution is water-based so that it can be rinsed off easily in a sink in the home. The detergent solution is particularly suited to plastic receptacles because plastic is more prone to accumulating mal-odour producing bacteria. This is because a plastic surface is more porous than glass so it is more difficult to remove greasy residues from a plastic surface and therefore grease can build up in the pores, out of the reach of surfactants, and provide a place for odour-producing bacteria to grow. An odour absorbing compound does not remove the residue but can neutralise the odours from the residue. The invention also discloses a method for dispensing a detergent solution comprising at least one surfactant, the method comprising ejecting detergent solution from a reservoir in the form of a spray, wherein the surfactant is present in the detergent solution in an amount of from 3% to 15% by weight of the detergent solution. The invention discloses also a method of cleaning a receptacle for milk, or liquid milk-derived products, the method comprising: spraying a detergent solution comprising at least one surfactant onto the receptacle, wherein the surfactant is present in the detergent solution in an amount of from 3% to 15% by weight of the detergent solution. 1. A method of adjusting dispense rate of a solid detergent block of a detergent composition is described here. A solid detergent block is produced from this method may have a predetermined dispense rate or a comparable dispense rate as a solid detergent block produced by extruding method. A process for producing a solid detergent block and a solid detergent composition are also disclosed. 1. A method of adjusting dispense rate of an existing solid detergent composition comprising:mixing a first solid comprising a solid anionic surfactant and a second solid comprising an alkaline source to obtain a solid mixture, and pressing the solid mixture to form a solid block, wherein the alkaline source comprises one or more alkaline compounds, and wherein the concentration of the anionic surfactant is modified to adjust the dispense rate of the solid detergent composition.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the adjusting of the dispense rate provides an essentially same dispense rate as an existing solid detergent composition claim 1 , wherein the existing solid detergent composition has an essentially similar composition claim 1 , dimension and shape as the second solid claim 1 , and wherein the dispense rate of the existing solid detergent composition and the solid block are measured by the same procedure claim 1 , conditions claim 1 , and equipment.3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the block comprises from about 0.1 wt-% to about 25 wt-% of the solid anionic surfactant.4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the block comprises from about 50 wt-% to about 95 wt-% of the alkaline source.5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the block further comprises a solid polyethylene glycol claim 1 , wherein the block has about 0.1 wt-% to about 10 wt-% of the polyethylene glycol and the polyethylene glycol has an average molecular weight of from about 6 claim 1 ,000 to about 10 claim 1 ,000.6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the anionic surfactant is a sulfonate claim 1 , alkylsulfonate claim 1 ...
