Woven reinforcing web used in motor vehicle tyres, conveyor belts etc. is produced by a formation of parallel arranged bundles of steel wires, which are bent in an undulating made configuration in which the crests and bottoms are formed in a triangular pattern. A phase diffrental of 180 degrees is employed between the crests of adjoining bundles, so that the crests of one bundle are in one line with the bottom of the adjoining bundle. The woof consists of a nylon or polyester filament which in a meandering pattern crosses the bundles, at the same time following an up and over pattern through adjoining bundles. The steel wires supplied from bobbins may pref. be 0.15 to 0.3 mm dia and are led through apertures and a guide plate, to consequently pass through toothed roller sets emerging finally in the required pattern.

In an embodiment a plain weave fabric having twelve threads per inch in both the warp and weft directions was made from threads composed of 117 filaments of brass plated steel wire of 0.0016 inches in diameter. The woven fabric was then spread coated on one side with an acrylonitrile/butadiene rubber and on the other side with a polychloroprene compound and the coatings were vulcanised. The sheets may be joined together to form the container by first buffing the surface coatings and butt jointing the two edges. Cover strips of the fabric may be applied over the joints by means of adhesive.

The pad comprises a woven fabric of heat resistant strands wherein at least either the warp (14) or the weft (10) comprises a core (11) made up of a plurality of strands (12) within a sheath (13) of an elastomeric material and the other comprises metal strands. Within the scale of the press pad, the strands (12) making up the core lie substantially parallel to one another and to the longitudinal axis of the core (11). In use, therefore, when pressurized in the laminate press, the core structure collapses as the strands making up the core move relative to one another and the core tends to flatten out. This increases the springiness and compensation ability of the press pad without any loss of heat transfer ability.

본 발명은 폴리에스테르사를 이용한 한복지의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 투습성, 형태안정성이 우수하고, 세탁견뢰도가 우수한 폴리에스테르사를 경사 또는 위사, 혹은 경사 및 위사로 이용하여 한복지를 제조하는 방법 및 그 한복지에 관한 것으로, 단사섬도 50 ~ 100데니어, 장력 5 ~ 10N이 되도록 폴리에스테르사를 방적하여 방적사를 얻는 단계;와 상기 방적사를 염색액에 침지시켜 염색하는 선염단계;와 상기 선염 후, 건조된 방적사를 경사 또는 위사, 혹은 경사 및 위사로 하여 일정 직폭을 가지도록 제직하는 단계;와 상기 제직 후, 제직물의 일면에 금사, 은사 혹은 금은사를 직조하여 단위면적당 3 ~ 7개/inch2가 되도록 리프트 하는 단계;와 상기 리프트 후, 상기 제직된 직물지를 텐터기로 텐터처리하여 직폭 22 ~ 60inch의 직폭으로 정형하는 단계; 및 상기 정형된 직물에 전통 문양을 디자인하는 단계로 이루어지는 폴리에스테르사를 이용한 한복지의 제조방법이 개시된다.

In one form of the method of making a sleeve, the hybrid fill (weft) yarns (12) are resiliently set by placing the woven fabric in a folder, applying heat to cause the fill (weft) yarns (12) to assume a set in the wrap around or folded condition and then cooling so that the product is resiliently maintained in the set condition. In an alternative method of making the product, the product is woven on a shuttle loom and one or more wires are used as fill (weft) yarns (12). The wires are fed from pretensioned spools. The tension on the spools of wire imparts a resilient set which biases the side edges of the fabric into adjacent and overlapping relationship.
