Method of introducing filler in aerodynamic paper forming

Номер: RU2633535C1

FIELD: printing industry. SUBSTANCE: paper with a single-sided coated layer is used in the manufacture, for example, of posters and labels. In the method for coating air-conditioning paper, comprising moistening the cellulosic semi-finished product with water to a moisture content of 48-50%, separating the semi-finished product prior to the formation of a fiber aerosolize, and then obtaining a fibrous layer that is wetted between two cloths aqueous starch solution, followed by pressing and drying the paper web, Chalk with a particle size of 4.5-5.5 mcm with an aqueous solution of sodium carboxymethylcellulose are sprayed onto one of the surfaces of the formed fibrous layer from the calculation and 10-40 grams of chalk/m 2 before moistening, which is carried out with an aqueous solution of starch with a concentration of 0.9-1.1%. One-sided deposition of the product of the interaction of chalk with an aqueous solution of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose on the surface of the fibrous layer is possible in the technology of aerodynamic paper forming. Depending on the weight of the fibrous layer and the roughness of the fibers, the through interfiber pores of the formed fibrous layer have a linear dimension smaller than the diameter of the particles of the chalk treated with aqueous sodium carboxymethylcellulose, which allows keeping the chalk particles on the surface of the fibrous layer. Sputtering of the product of the interaction of chalk with an aqueous solution of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose on the surface is carried out for a hardwood semi-finished product with a mass of the fibrous layer not less than 40 g/m 2 , For coniferous semi-finished products with a mass of fibrous layer not less than 60 g/m 2 . Installation for moulding articles from concrete mixtures

Номер: SU1468408A3
Принадлежит: Ой Партек Аб (Фирма)

The invention is concerned with a method and a mould in continuous slide-casting of large-size concrete objects or corresponding elements for compacting high-viscosity casting mix. The slide-casting mould (33) comprises a bottom plane (34), side walls (38, 39) of the mould, as well as means (37) for pressurizing the casting mix mechanically. According to the invention, before the parallel side walls (44, 54) at the outlet end of the slide-casting mould (33), within the casting line concerned, walls or wall portions (40 to 43, 50 to 53) are provided as fitted to each other or to their corresponding portions, provided as pairs, as pivotable always in the same direction around substantially vertical shafts (45 to 49, 55 to 59) included in their planes. The moving parts of the side walls (38, 39) may be displaced in pairs in the lateral direction, relative the casting direction, e.g., by means of cylinder-piston devices (61 to 63). Thereat, repeated parallel dislocations back and forth are produced in the various regional zones of the mechanically pressurized high-viscosity casting mix (35) present in the slide-casting mould (33), and in particular in parallel dislocation planes of casting mix (35) in the mould (33), placed perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the casting base.

Methods and apparatus for applying adhesives in patterns to an advancing substrate

Номер: US8186296B2
Принадлежит: Procter and Gamble Co

Methods and apparatuses herein may provide for the application of viscous fluids, such as adhesives, in pre-determined patterns to an advancing substrate. The fluid application apparatus may include a slot die applicator and a substrate carrier. The substrate carrier may include one or more pattern elements and may be adapted to advance the substrate past the slot die applicator as the slot die applicator discharges adhesive onto the substrate. In operation, the substrate is disposed on the substrate carrier; the substrate carrier advances the substrate past the slot opening of the slot die applicator. In turn, the substrate is intermittently compressed between the slot die applicator and the pattern surface of the pattern element. As the substrate is intermittently compressed, adhesive discharged from the slot die applicator is applied onto the substrate in an area having a shape substantially the same as a shape defined by the pattern surface.

Process of controlled shuffling of chromosone fragments for plant breeding

Номер: US20040244073A1
Принадлежит: Icon Genetics AG, Icon Genetics Inc

Disclosed is a method of constructing a wild-species genomic library of chromosome fragments incorporated in a crop-species genome. First, a number of transformants for donor and recipient plant species is produced, carrying the DNA constructs necessary for the exchange of chromosomal fragments mediated by site-specific recombination. The donor and recipient are chosen such that, upon sexual cross or somatic cell fusion, they produce unstable progeny or demonstrate preferential segregation or sorting out. Second, the crossing between donor and recipient species and formation of chromosomal recombinants of donor and recipient plant species is induced. Third, taking advantage of the instability of hybrids between donor and recipient, recombinant cells and plants of the recipient are selected which contain specific chromosome fragments of the donor species. Also disclosed are transgenic plants, libraries and breeding material produced by the methods.

In applying thin layers of coating liquids to a travelling web the latter is caused to travel in a path which at the position where the coating is applied has a vertical component of motion and coating liquids are supplied to an applicator 1 located at the coating position, the applicator comprising top and bottom jaws 2 and 3 sloped so as to establish in operation a body 9 of coating liquid between the applicator and the web 12, the upper and lower edges of the applicator being spaced apart and constructed so that the body of liquid has a vertical depth between 12 mm and 40 mm whereby the pressure in the liquid just below the upper jaw is less than the pressure just above it and, enclosed between the jaws of the applicator, two or more ducts 5, 7 for coating liquid, and which extend substantially across the width of the web. The ducts may be formed by channels 6 and 8 between a member 4 and the jaws 3 and 2 respectively and different liquids can be pumped along said channels. By replacing the member 4 by two or more such members three or more channels for feeding liquid may be formed.

Porous building paper has plastics coating - with perforations giving high vapour permeability and low fire risk

Номер: FR2227125A1
Автор: [UNK]
Принадлежит: Valmet Woodhandling Oy

A porous, perforated plastics coating is formed on a sheet of material, esp. paper, to give a laminated, permeable sheet esp. suitable as building paper, by (a) after applying the coating onto the paper, the sheet is fed around a rough-surfaced roller with the plastics coating on the side towards the roller, the roughness of the roller producing the perforations in the plastics coating and (b) the sheet is pref. heat treated to increase the size of the perforations. Pref. plastics is polyethylene, applied onto the paper at 300 degrees C, while the roughened roller is cooled to 20 degrees C and the counter-roller applying the sheet to 10 degrees C.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COATING SHEETS

Номер: FR2507108A1
Автор: Rauno Rantanen
Принадлежит: Wartsila Oy AB

Process and device for feeding a coating material onto a moving web (2) under pressure through a feed channel (12). The feed channel (12) extends transversely to the web and has a width corresponding to the web width. It is connected to a pressure equalisation chamber (8) into which the coating material is fed continuously. The amount of coating material fed to the web is adapted to the surface characteristics of the web and the web rate. To achieve this, the volumetric flow from the pressure equalisation chamber (8) is controlled by the feed channel (12), whereas the dry substance concentration of the coating material and the coating width on the web are kept constant. The levelling of the coating on the web is carried out by means of a flexible coating blade (doctor) (16) which, at least at its outlet end, forms an inner side wall of the feed channel. The blade forms an acute angle with the web and adjustment devices (18, 19) are provided for controlling the contact pressure of the blade against the web, both over their entire length and also individually at a plurality of individual points at longitudinal distances on the blade.
