DRY PAPER MACHINE

Номер: WO1983003858A1

In a dry paper machine, in the step following the forming section, the fiber web has been conducted with the aid of topside and/or underside wires through the machine to the purpose of adding, drying and polymerizing the bonding agent. The unbonded fiber web has low strength and requires careful handling so that it might not break and cause process shut-downs. This circumstance has in modern paper machines resulted in a running speed which is low compared with the theoretical capacity of the machines. It has been found that web breaks tend to occur at the so-called open draws of its carry-through path, where the fiber web is not supported and is allowed to hang free in the air or carried by a wire (2, 3, 9). The object of the invention is to avoid open draws and to convey the web (1) in supported fashion through the entire process. The reliability of the procedure is improved by placing the mechanically drying calendering to be the last treatment step before polymerizing.

System and method for producing a facing for a board product with strategocally placed scores

Номер: AU2017252187A1

A system and method for producing a board product made from paper products that have a pre-scored facing in addition to a medium (sometimes called fluting). Conventional corrugated board may feature a cross-corrugated medium and one or more facing that have no score lines that are impressed (at least prior to assembly with the corrugated medium). Such a conventional board product may be inferior because any score lines that are impressed will damage the underlying corrugated medium in some manner. A breakdown in the strength of the underlying medium leads to poor precision when the eventual board product is scored, cut, and folded. A lack of precision in folding a board product leads to gap variation and fishtailing as any articulated portion of the board product may not maintain a precise plane of articulation when folded.

Wet-pressed creped tissue sheets exhibit continuous undulating valleys separated by continuous mono-planar macro-ridges running in the machine direction of the sheet, the macro-ridges being of a lower fiber density relative to the fiber density of the undulating valleys. The tissue structure can be created by pressing a densified tissue web against the surface of a Yankee dryer while the web is supported by a texturizing (molding) fabric having a web-supporting surface having highly topographic continuous or substantially continuous ridges and valleys and thereafter creping the web.

Принадлежит: CIP INC, CIP INC.

In the manufacture of low density air laid webs of predominantly ligno-cellulosic material, the method and apparatus for bonding the dry web with binder and compacting the web with a wet, fabric covered surface so as to increase tensile strength and delamination resistance while reducing binder content and cost is described. Wet compaction of the binder laden web enables controlled penetration of the web with a smaller amount of binder than is possible without wet compaction, and also reduces energy consumption in drying due to the use of less binder.

Принадлежит: Lau Sai Kai

Disclosed is a method for preparing knife-free linearly-tearable stone paper, which includes the following steps: 101) producing raw stone paper; 102) longitudinally stretching the raw paper obtained in step 101 in one direction, wherein a stretching rate for the raw paper is 2-7 times. The density of the stone paper manufactured according to the present invention becomes lower after the stretching, and a track of stone powder is arranged in a line to change isotropy into anisotropy. The direction in which the track of the stone powder is arranged presents a smooth tearing direction. When the paper is torn manually, a smooth straight edge can be obtained as long as the tearing direction is the same as the direction of the track of the stone powder.
