A method and device for installing synthetic turf uses a motorized turf rollout vehicle and a frame removably carried by the vehicle, the frame holding a roll of synthetic turf on a spindle at a first, forward end thereof. The roll and spindle are held in an orientation that is transverse to the first forward direction, and have a transverse dimension that extends beyond that of the vehicle. As the vehicle moves forward in the first direction, the vehicle engages and pulls the roll of turf, and the vehicle also moves on top of the just-unrolled portion of the turf. This accurately and efficiently places the turf on and over the base, in a desired position. Because the vehicle moves on top of the just unrolled section of turf, the present invention eliminates direct contact with, and disruption to, the underlying prepared base. This method and device reduces the time and cost associated with locating a roll of synthetic turf over a base during the installation of an athletic field, compared to prior installation methods.

In a method for adsorptively drying purified biogas and regenerating laden absorbents, foreign matter is not allowed to enter the purified biogas, the content of methane in the gas remains virtually unchanged and the effort involved in regenerating the laden adsorbent is reduced. Drying and regeneration are effected in a closed biogas cycle, wherein separate layers based on silica gel and molecular sieves are used as the adsorbent. The biogas to be dried first flows through the silica gel layer. The adsorbent is regenerated with exclusively heated, dried biomethane having a temperature of up to 150° C. which, after contact with adsorbent, is recirculated to the outflow of purified biogas. After regeneration, the bed is cooled by biomethane, which is subsequently recirculated to the outflow of purified biogas. Methane-containing water accumulating during drying and regeneration is recirculated to the biogas generation and/or purification.

There is provided a material management system for continuous cold in-place recycling of pavement, the system comprising a crusher vehicle for crushing pavement on the ground surface, the crusher vehicle comprising a first conveyor for evacuating crushed pavement material rearwardly from the crusher vehicle; a paver vehicle located rearwardly of the crusher vehicle for repaving the ground surface using the crushed pavement material; and a material feeder located between the crusher vehicle and the paver vehicle, the material feeder comprising: a container for receiving the crushed pavement material; and a second conveyor for moving the crushed pavement material rearwardly from the front container end towards the rear container end of the container in order to enable the paver vehicle to repave the ground surface using the crushed pavement material. A turf cutter device, an infill extractor/collector device, and a turf wind-up device are used to facilitate the cost-effective removal of an infilled synthetic turf and the subsequent installation of a new turf at the same site, with minimal subsurface disruption. An infill extractor/collector device mounted on a motorized vehicle moves a relatively narrow strip of filled artificial turf from the surface, in front of the vehicle, and directs the strip to an infill removal station. The infill removal station inverts the strip and redirects the strip back toward the front of the vehicle, after agitating the strip to extract the infill. After redirecting the strip toward the front of the vehicle, the vehicle drives over the unfilled strip. Meanwhile, the extractor/collector device moves the extracted infill rearwardly to a bag located in a trailer. Provided herein are roadways containing polyurethane materials. A roadway includes a base layer of a compacted in situ material and/or a wear layer disposed on the base layer. One or both of these layers may include the polyurethane material to bind other components in the layers and to form more robust and durable roadway structures capable of withstanding operating loads of the roadway. Systems and methods of transferring loads between adjacent cast-in-place slabs, such as concrete slabs, and for accurately positioning dowels between adjacent sections of slabs are provided. A generally planar plate-type dowel is used which may be positioned within a cutaway in a preexisting slab of concrete. The dowel is shaped to generally conform to the shape of the cutaway, which is made by a saw blade. Once the dowel is positioned within the preexisting slab, a new slab is poured adjacent the preexisting slab. Rubber seals are included on the edges of the dowels to provide spacing or a gap between the dowel and the preexisting slab to allow for lateral independent movement of the adjacent slabs, and to prevent concrete from the newly poured second slab from entering into the gap. Methods and apparatus for repairing road surfaces mix aggregate and liquified crack sealer on demand into mastic material for direct delivery to the road surfaces. Aggregate flows from a tilted box of a dump truck into a hopper and is conveyed by an auger into a tubular horizontal chamber. Liquified crack sealer is deliverable from a tank to the road surface or into the tubular horizontal chamber where it is mixed with the aggregate by a device into mastic material which is pushed through a vertical opening for delivery directly to the road surfaces. The frame which supports the hopper, conveyor, tank, and tubular horizontal chamber is movably supported on the road surfaces and is hitched to the dump truck. 1. Method comprising:receiving aggregate and liquified crack sealer in a chamber;mixing the aggregate and the liquified crack sealer received in the chamber into a mastic material; anddelivering the mastic material from the chamber directly to a road surface for repairing the road surface.2. The method of wherein receiving comprises agitating the liquified crack sealer in a tank; and pumping the liquified crack sealer from the tank to the chamber.3.
