Described herein are apparatus, systems and methods useful in forming underground vertical structures. Methods are described for constructing an underground vertical structure, comprising the steps of excavating soil to a sufficient depth to create a circular void to accommodate a plurality of segments; assembling a ring shaped structure comprising the plurality of segments; connecting the outside surface of the ring shaped structure with the soil in said circular void, thereby securing the ring shaped structure to the soil; excavating earth beneath the ring shaped structure to accommodate a second ring shaped structure; and repeating steps b-d thereby forming one or more additional ring shaped structures downward into the earth below already formed ring shaped structures until a predetermined depth is reached; thereby forming the underground vertical structure. A retaining wall system includes a plurality of large mass retaining blocks formed with vertically oriented openings passing therethrough for the installation of micro-pile soldier piles. The retaining blocks can be formed of pre-cast concrete and stacked vertically so that the vertical openings are aligned for the installation of micro-pile soldier piles through the stacked retaining blocks and into the bedrock below the retaining blocks. The micro-pile soldier piles can include a steel casing that is installed through the aligned vertical openings to terminate at the bedrock with grout filling the steel casing except for optional reinforcement. The retaining blocks can be formed with cutout key openings that allow concrete to be inserted to provide a key interlock between adjacent retaining blocks to further stabilize the retaining wall. The retaining wall can also include a row of waler blocks that incorporate a pair of tie-back anchors for each waler block.

The present invention provides a foundation for a wind turbine. To reduce set-up time and to allow complete alignment of the platform which carries the base flange of the tower construction, the invention provides a foundation with a cage structure having an upper stress distribution flange connected by a plurality of tensioned anchor bolts to a lower flange. The flanges are separated by a number of distance elements whereby the shape of the cage structure becomes fixed by the combination between tensioned bolts and distance elements. Since the cage structure has a fixed shape, the upper stress distribution flange can be aligned before the cage structure is embedded in concrete, and it becomes unnecessary to wait for the concrete to harden.

According to the present invention, the elastic pressing device comprises: a strand; a compression grip connected to a front end of the strand; the spring inserted into the strand and supported by the upper surface of the compression grip; a cylindrical casing having an accommodation space including the spring and the compression grip by the connection of upper and lower members, wherein the strand penetrates the center of the upper surface of the upper member and a through hole preventing the upward separation of the spring is formed at the center of the upper surface of the upper member; and a compression plate connected to an upper end of the casing and having a through path continuous with the through hole at the center, wherein multiple wedge holes expanded upwards are formed at constant intervals in a periphery of the compression plate. The spring is compressed toward the compression plate by a force of pulling the strand rearwards while the compression plate and the casing are fixed.

본 발명은 기초 터파기 공사 등과 같은 토목공사시 가이드를 이용한 연속 케이싱 공법으로 연속 벽체를 시공하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 연속 벽체의 구축을 위하여 케이싱, 오거 및 햄머를 이용하여 천공할 때, 케이싱 가이드를 이용하여 케이싱의 진행을 안내하면서 천공하는 새로운 형태의 시공방법을 구현함으로써, 케이싱의 정밀한 수직도를 확보할 수 있으며, 이에 따라 천공되는 파일공의 수직오차를 최대한 줄일 수 있고, 결국 서로 인접한 콘크리트 파일 간의 틈새를 막는 공사를 배제할 수 있는 등 정확한 시공이 가능하고 시공성을 향상시킬 수 있는 한편, 지반 천공 후에 현장에서 콘크리를 타설하는 방식이 아니라, 사전에 제작된 콘크리트 파일을 파일공에 그대로 근입하는 새로운 형태의 시공방법을 구현함으로써, 기존의 현장타설보다 공기의 절감을 향상시킬 수 있는 흙막이 및 차수용 연속 벽체 시공방법을 제공한다. 흙막이, 차수용, 연속 벽체, 파일공, 케이싱, 수직도, 콘크리트 파일, 케이싱 가이드, 파일 가이드
