A method, apparatus, and system for leak detection in a distribution network having consumption meters. The distribution network is divided into zones having an upstream location and a downstream location. An upstream pressure sensor detects the upstream pressure at the upstream location and the downstream pressure sensor detects the detected downstream pressure at the downstream location. A downstream pressure lookup table is used to determine an expected pressure at each downstream location based on a range of hypothetical upstream pressures at the corresponding upstream location and consumption data from the consumption meters. A system and method for determining a leakage condition of a fluid distribution system in view of a failure to detect a no flow condition at a fluid access point of the fluid distribution system for a pre-established time duration within a time period longer than the pre-established time duration. The system includes a sensor and optionally a valve, a reporting module and/or a control means. The valve is responsive to commands directing a blockage of flow of fluid. The reporting module may include an alerting module, a messaging module, a cellular phone, and/or an electronic communications network. The control means is coupled with the valve and is enabled to direct the controlling valve to block fluid flow. The control means may be integrated with elements of the reporting module. A pressure supply system for a fresh water system , comprising:a water reservoir having a bleed air inlet and a water outlet; anda water pump arranged downstream from the water outlet;wherein the water pump is configured so as to pressurize water, with a further pressure downstream until a predetermined nominal operating pressure range is achieved.2. The pressure supply system according to claim 1 , further comprising a water pressure measurement means and a water pump control system claim 1 , wherein the water pressure measurement means is arranged downstream from the water pump and coupled to the water pump control system claim 1 , the water pump control system being configured to keep a water pressure downstream from the water pump in the predetermined nominal operating pressure range.3. A fluid pressure reducing valve apparatus includes a pressure reducing valve. The valve has: a body containing a fluid-flow chamber, a liquid supply orifice into the chamber, a liquid outlet from the chamber, a regulation plate opposed to the orifice, a spring acting to urge the plate towards the orifice, and a diaphragm between the plate and the body to close the chamber between them. A controllable motor drive acts between the body and an end of the spring remote from the plate. A flow meter is positioned downstream of the outlet. A controller is arranged to receive flow data from the flow meter and to control the motor drive for withdrawal of the remote end of the spring in accordance with flow rate measured by the flow meter. For an increase in demand flow, the plate is partially withdrawn to maintain downstream pressure on such increase and vice versa. 2. A fluid pressure reducing valve apparatus as claimed in wherein the body has an interior void partitioned by the diaphragm into the fluid-flow chamber on one side of the diaphragm and a dry chamber on the other side of the diaphragm.3. A fluid pressure reducing valve apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein (i) the apparatus is adapted for reducing the pressure of water; or (ii) the apparatus is adapted for reducing the pressure of hydrocarbon fluids both liquid and gaseous.4.
