Das Schiebewandsystem erlaubt eine einfache Trennung durch Hub- und Querbewegung und Verstauung der Schiebewand-Elemente und benötigt weniger Transporteinrichtungen (12) als herkömmliche Systeme. Eine Verriegelungseinrichtung (9) sichert zusätzlich die Verbindung der Elemente.

A mobile partition wall includes a plurality of adjoining wall elements 1. In order to prop and stabilize each wall element 1 between the ceiling and the floor and to provide noise insulation, each wall element includes an upper seal bar 8 and a lower seal bar 9. The seal bars 8 t 9 cooperate with a pneumatic stroke or force device 20 via a linkage 16, 16'. The stroke device 20 preferably includes a pneumatic bellows. A pneumatic coupling is arranged on each of the two narrow vertical edges of each wall element 1. When adjacent wall elements are pushed against one another, the respective adjacent couplings engage or couple with one another, whereby a non-return or poppet-type valve is opened to allow the flow of pressurized air. The pressurized air actuates the stroke device 20, which extends the seal bars 8, 9 outwardly to press against the upper support track and the floor.

The actuator is used for horizontal seals of sliding partition walls. These seals are actuated by a lever and the actuating operation cannot be neglected or forgotten. The spring loaded horizontal seals are pushed against matching support profiles on the ceiling or on the floor. The lower and upper sealing profiles (6, 7) are loaded by springs (12, 13). An actuator is provided which is connected by cables to these profiles. On actuation the cables pull sealing profiles into the edge of the partition wall panel. This actuator winds the cable around a shaft and the actuator is locked by a ratchet arrangement.

The last section (2) in the closing direction is borne on bearing and guide components (5, 6), of which at least the rear bearing and guide component (6) in the closing direction is borne on the section (2) in such a way that it can be moved along said section (2). In addition, said rear bearing and guide component (6) has its own drive unit, by means of which the last section (2) can automatically be moved into the closed position aligned with the other sections (4). Between the last section (2) and a closing stop (16) there remains a gap which is to be closed by an additional flap.
