Принадлежит: CFS Concrete Forming Systems Inc

A stay-in-place form-work for casting a concrete structure comprises a plurality of elongate panels interconnectable in edge-to-edge relationship via complementary connector components on their longitudinal edges to define at least a portion of a perimeter of the form-work. The panels include a first panel having a first connector component incorporating a receptacle, and a second panel having a second connector component incorporating a protrusion. The first and second panels are connectable to one another in edge-to-edge relationship by: effecting a loose-fit connection by extending the protrusion of the second connector component into the receptacle of the first connector component; loosely seating a clip onto the first and second connector components; and pushing the clip against the first and second connector components to reach a locked configuration wherein restorative deformation forces associated with the clip act to retain the first and second connector components in the locked configuration.

Manufacture of Lattice Truss Structures from Monolithic Materials

Номер: US20120285114A1

Methods and systems to manufacture lattice-based sandwich structures from monolithic material eliminate the bonding process which is conventionally used to join lattice-based truss cores to facesheets to form sandwich structures. The bonded interface is a key mode of failure for sandwich structures which are subjected to shear or bending loads because the nodes transfer forces from the facesheets to the core members while the topology for a given core relative density dictates the load carrying capacity (assuming adequate node-bond strength exists). In one aspect, a core and related structures provide very low density, good crush resistance and high in-plane shear resistance. Another aspect of the truss structures may include sandwich panel cores and lattice truss topology that may be designed to efficiently support panel bending loads while maintaining an open topology that facilitates multifunctional applications.

Composite joist floor system

Номер: US20130008112A1
Принадлежит: Nucor Corp

The composite joist floor system includes joists supported by supporting members. Corrugated steel decking is positioned over the joists such that the corrugations are substantially perpendicular to the joists. Self-drilling, self-tapping, stand-off screws are spaced along the length of the joist, aligned with the deck corrugations. These stand-off screws provide the required shear transfer between the joist and concrete slab to form a composite floor system. The placed concrete encapsulates the upper non-threaded shank portions of the stand-off screws and the end of the joists. After the concrete has cured, the resultant system comprised of steel joists, steel decking, stand-off screws, and concrete, act together to form a composite system with greater load carrying capacity and less vertical deflection. The stand-off screws connect the joist upper chords to the concrete slab allowing the joist and concrete slab to act as a unit, by transferring shear between the two joined components.

Load-resisting truss segments for buildings

Номер: US20130042569A1
Принадлежит: Trussed Inc

The invention provides load-resisting segments (e.g., panels or frames for openings) for transmitting loads through a building structure. In the context of a wall, the load-resisting segments transmit shear loads downward to structural elements below the wall, such as to a building foundation. The load-resisting segments may comprise a truss configuration, i.e., an assembly of members forming a rigid framework. Each load-resisting segment can include web members and pairs of truss plates secured to sides of the segment to secure connections of the web members to each other and to other members. The wall segments can include beam-separation blocks that reduce truss plate failure by spacing apart the ends of two web members bearing against a chord or post to position the intersection point of the load paths of the web members with the load path of the chord or post.

Номер: US20220064942A1
Автор: Paul A. Inglese
Принадлежит: Individual

A composite building system comprising a structural frame and walls which is made of pultrusion fiber reinforced polymer (PFRP) material. PFRP provides increased performance, strength, protection, and longevity for mobile and fixed building structures, enclosures or vehicles, commonly found in residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, aerospace, government defense, energy, and agriculture sectors. The PFRP material comprises fibers embedded in a resin matrix. Exemplary fibers are glass, carbon, and synthetic fibers. PFRP products can be formed using a pultrusion method that eliminates outgassing. An intumescent fire barrier can be applied to the PFRP to meet National Fire Protection Association fire endurance codes and standards. The composite building system increases personal safety while reducing weight, labor costs, construction time, and total cost of ownership over the life of the structure while being resistant to ballistic, seismic, corrosion, rotting, impact, and insect damage. In addition, a wall and wall assembly consisting of the PFRP material is impervious to water and air and does not require an exterior finish coating. The PFRP wall and wall assembly can be designed to be versatile, allowing for use with both PFRP structural framing and traditional framing materials, such as concrete, steel, and wood.

A system to be used in t-post fence arrangements. The system comprises an adjustable locking brace having two specialized ends which permit the brace to be used in a variety of bracing configurations. The system further includes hinge pins for connecting a gate to a t-post fence. Other devices and apparatus are provided which further assist in the building and maintenance of t-post fences. 1. A set of pins for attaching a gate to a t-post comprising:an upper hinge pin and a lower hinge pin;said upper hinge pin being essentially planar and having a mounting notch, two rounded protrusions, and a finger shaped projection located between said protrusions and extending out from said planar body; and, said lower hinge pin having a slight bend and including a mounting notch, two rounded protrusions, and a finger shaped projection located between said protrusions.2. The pins of further including a washer disposed on the projection of the lower hinge pin. This application claims priority from U.S. Provisional Patent Application Nos. 62/323,175 filed on Apr. 15, 2016 and 62/243,869 filed on Oct. 20, 2015. Further, this application is a divisional application of Ser. No. 15/298,263.The present invention relates to fence installation and construction, and, more specifically to t-post fence bracing elements, hinge pins, and other related elements and equipment, and methods of use thereof.Agricultural fences and similar fencing enclosures are often constructed using metal posts having a t-shaped cross-section, generally known as t-posts. These t-posts can be used as the principal supporting structure of both temporary and permanent fences. T-posts are often used in straight-run fencing but are not used for corners or bracing posts. Fences incorporating such t-posts are considerably less expensive, and generally easier and faster to install, than fences using wooden posts as anchors. Wooden posts, however, are often required for corners and bracing purposes. Power equipment is ...
