A method of manufacturing a randomly patterned floor covering having contrastingly-colored zones from a preform of rubber in which the preform is cut in pieces, each of which are molded into a blank having projections extending from a top side of the blank in relief-like fashion, solidified by vulcanization and then machined by cutting only in the region of the projections. The rubber forming the contrastingly-colored zones is mixed with contrastingly-colored particles in an amount of at least ten percent by weight. These particles are substantially free of flat surfaces and are in, at least, an advanced state of vulcanization. Ceramic floors and methods of making thereof such that the ceramic tiles are quickly and easily removable from the floor substrate and replaceable at a future date. A plurality of pre-fabricated articles each comprising a sheet and one or more ceramic tiles bonded to the sheet are laid onto the floor with sheet edges abutting, and the sheets are bonded to the floor substrate with releasable adhesive. The tile edges are set inwardly from the sheet edges so that a tile of one article is spaced from a tile of another article when the articles are laid. A non-Portland cement grout, preferably urethane grout, is provided between adjacent tiles. A plurality of pre-fabricated articles each comprising a backer board, a sheet, and a releasable adhesive bonding the sheet to the upper surface of the backer board, the sheet covering the entirety of the upper surface. After these articles are applied to the floor substrate, ceramic tiles are bonded to the sheets. A plurality of pre-fabricated articles each comprising a sheet bonded to the upper surface of a backer board. After these articles are applied to the floor substrate, ceramic tiles are bonded to the sheets. Each sheet comprises a plurality of layers bonded together wherein separation of the sheet along layers thereof is effected for removal of laid ceramic tiles from the backer board.

An up-lighting floor mat comprising:floor matting that defines an upwardly-facing surface and an opposed downwardly-facing surface when supported atop an upwardly-facing support surface, and that is formed from a first flexible material that enables the up-lighting floor mat to be rolled up for transport or storage; anda first elongate up-lighting assembly positioned within a first elongate slot defined through the floor matting to emit light upwardly from the first elongate slot, wherein at least one elongate edge defined by the first up-lighting assembly is bonded to at least one edge of the floor matting that defines the first elongate slot.2. A glueless dustless composite flooring material system providing PVC-based flooring having layers providing different qualities of hardness, wear-resistance, sound deadening, and decorative patterns, avoiding the use of moisture-susceptible compressed dust filler, with layers fused together, avoiding the manufacturing complexity and delamination risks of using glue or adhesive, with a quickly-cured, UV-cured top coating providing long-lasting high performance and shortening and simplifying the manufacturing, which can be done in a sheet-form, essentially continuous-run manner, with an ability to quickly and simply change the optional design printing and texturing produced, and having an optional underlayment layer. 2. The glueless dustless composite flooring material of claim 1 , where said flooring base layer further comprises mixing claim 1 , fusing claim 1 , cooling claim 1 , delivering claim 1 , and co-extruding claim 1 , followed by common mold forming claim 1 , of at least one additional mixture comprising PVC resin and compatible materials adapted to provide additional desired qualities in said flooring base layer claim 1 , in use.3. The glueless dustless composite flooring material of claim 1 , further comprising (iv) an underlayment layer.4. The glueless dustless composite flooring material of claim 1 , where said PVC decorative polymer film further comprises a colored film.5.
