Dabei lagern die Terrassenplatten auf Stelzlagern, bestehend aus einem Fuß, einem Mittelteil und einem Oberteil. Die Abschlussprofile sind jeweils mittels einer spaltbildend ausgeführten Zurückfaltung auf vormontierte Haltemittel aufsteckbar. Die Haltemittel bestehen aus einzelnen, klebetechnisch an der Unterseite der Terrassenplatten befestigten Haltewinkeln.

A stabilizing system for a deck system has a plurality of pedestals, a plurality of connection locations on a periphery of the pedestals and at least one stabilizing member secured g between the pedestals. Each of the pedestals supports corner portions of adjacent blocks, pavers or panels a spaced distance above an underlying structure extending generally parallel to the blocks, pavers or panels. The plurality of connection locations on a periphery of the pedestals are located both proximate the supported corner portions and proximate the underlying structure. At least one stabilizing member in the form of a stabilizing bar, elongate wires, wire rope, cable or rods is secured to and extends between the connection locations of at least two of the pedestals.

A deck system and pedestal for use in forming an elevated surface are provided. The system includes a plurality of ballast blocks, pavers or panels laterally positioned in a pattern to form a deck. Each of the blocks, pavers or panels has corner portions, and the pattern includes intersection areas in which the corner portions of adjacent blocks, pavers or panels extend. The system also includes a plurality of pedestals. The pedestals are located directly beneath the intersection areas and support the corner portions of adjacent blocks, pavers or panels a spaced distance above an underlying structure. Each pedestal has a base at a lower end thereof and a support at an upper end thereof. The support is rotatable relative to the base for altering an overall height of the pedestal. One or more couplers can be added to the pedestal to alter the overall height of the pedestal. The pedestals can include a rubber pad or coating that secures and stabilizes the block, paver, or panel on the pedestals. Brace securement eyelets can be provided in a flange extending circumferentially about the coupler and in the base of the pedestal.

A vertically-adjustable support structure (10) for supporting paving slabs or the like includes a base plate (20) on which four wedge-like support blocks (30) are provided. Each support block (30) has an inclined surface defining a series of teeth/steps, and a horizontal top surface. A chock (40) is placed on top of each support 5 block (30) to support a corner of a paving slab. Each chock includes an upper support surface (70) for supporting the paving slab, and a sloped underside (280) which defines teeth (290) which engage the teeth of the support block and secures each chock against displacement towards the base plate. Moving the chock up or down the inclined surface adjusts the height of the support structure. Additional height adjustment is 10 provided by adjusting the height of the chocks themselves. In particular, each chock includes wings (320) which are hinged to the sides of the chock. In one orientation with the side elements disposed on opposed sides of the chock the chock has a first height. In a second orientation, the side elements (320) are rotated about hinges (330) through 1800 so that the surface which was uppermost in the first orientation is located 15 on top of the upper surface of the chock, with the height of the chock increased by the depth of the side elements. The side elements preferably include means (340, 350; 360, 370, 380, 390) to lock them together and/or to the upper surface of the chock in the second orientation. Fig 4

A chock ( 40 ) is placed on top of each support block ( 30 ) to support a corner of a paving slab. Each chock includes an upper support surface ( 70 ) for supporting the paving slab, and a sloped underside ( 280 ) which defines teeth ( 290 ) which engage the teeth of the support block and secures each chock against displacement towards the base plate. Moving the chock up or down the inclined surface adjusts the height of the support structure. Additional height adjustment is provided by adjusting the height of the chocks themselves. In particular, each chock includes wings ( 320 ) which are hinged to the sides of the chock. In one orientation with the side elements disposed on opposed sides of the chock the chock has a first height. In a second orientation, the side elements ( 320 ) are rotated about hinges ( 330 ) through 180° so that the surface which was uppermost in the first orientation is located on top of the upper surface of the chock, with the height of the chock increased by the depth of the side elements. Each support assembly is securely press-fit into a channel extending through the panel, so that an adjustable base under the panel may be vertically adjusted within the channel by a driver on the top of the panel. The support assembly includes a threaded hollow core in a housing. The adjustable base extends from a threaded cylinder having the driver at its opposite end. The position of the base is adjusted to support the panel on an uneven surface or increase the gap below the panel. The outer surface of the housing is securely nested in the channel and the outer surface is configured to inhibit the movement of the assembly within the channel. An adjustable support assembly may be provided in various panels made from resilient fibrous materials.

A forming device for forming an adhesive composition into a ridged shape in a laying surface on which tiles are laid is characterized by being provided with: a stationary blade (40a) in which a plurality of plate-shaped tongues are disposed in a planar fashion, and the respective base ends of the tongues are linearly arranged with a gap having a predetermined length therebetween; a graspable main body (21) which secures the stationary blade and is disposed on the stationary blade so as to be movable sideways while pressing the stationary blade from above; a storage space (70) which is defined on the underside of the main body (21) and on the traveling direction side of the lateral movement of the stationary blade (40a); a weir member (81) which is affixed to the main body (21) or the stationary blade (40a) so as to be movable relative to the stationary blade (40a), and is able to define the upper ends of the gaps (42) formed in the stationary blade (40a), and characterized in that in the ridged shape, the volume filling factor between the tiles and the laying surface is adjusted in consideration of the pressure-bonding margin of the tiles.

A deck system and pedestal for use in forming an elevated surface are provided. The system includes a plurality of ballast blocks, pavers or panels laterally positioned in a pattern to form a deck. Each of the blocks, pavers or panels has corner portions, and the pattern includes intersection areas in which the corner portions of adjacent blocks, pavers or panels extend. The system also includes a plurality of pedestals. The pedestals are located directly beneath the intersection areas and support the corner portions of adjacent blocks, pavers or panels a spaced distance above an underlying structure. Each pedestal has a base at a lower end thereof and a support at an upper end thereof. The support is rotatable relative to the base for altering an overall height of the pedestal. One or more couplers can be added to the pedestal to alter the overall height of the pedestal. The pedestals cm include a rubber pad or coating that secures and stabilizes the block, paver, or panel on the pedestals. Brace securement eyelets can be provided in a flange extending circumferentially about the coupler and in the base of the pedestal.
