The lock cylinder includes means for blocking rotation of the plug assembly with respect to the cylinder body to prevent unlocking of the rekeyable lock cylinder with an unauthorized object. In some embodiments, the blocking means is configured such that torqueing the plug assembly with an unauthorized object applies force to the blocking means without translating such force to the plurality of racks. This type of arrangement enhances torque resistance of the lock cylinder against attempted forced entry.

A cylinder lock has a core (3) mounted inside a housing (1). The core and housing have rows of holes (2,4) in which pins (6,9) are fitted. When the key is inserted in the lock the keys in the core are pushed radially outwards so that the abutting faces of each pair of pins are aligned with the interfaces of the core and housing. The core can then be rotated in the housing. To prevent the lock being opened illegally without using the key, the housing pin (6) has a cylindrical projection (7) on its end face which engages a conical depression in the end face of the core pin (9). 본 발명은 정해진 열쇠로만 잠김 상태를 해제할 수 있도록 한 자물쇠에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 자물쇠는 실린더(10)의 안내구멍(16)들에 실린더핀(20)들이 출몰 가능하게 장착되고, 실린더(10)의 구멍(12)에 스핀들(30)이 회전 가능하게 설치된다. 스핀들(30)의 안내구멍(34)들에 슬리브(60)들이 출몰 가능하게 장착되며, 슬리브(60)는 스핀들(30)의 제1 관통구멍(38)과 서로 대응할 수 있는 구멍(62)과 통하는 핀구멍(68)을 갖는다. 슬리브(60)들의 구멍(62)에 실린더핀(20)들과 협동하여 스핀들(30)의 회전을 제한할 수 있도록 스핀들핀(70)들이 출몰 가능하게 장착되고, 스핀들핀(70)들은 슬리브들(60)의 핀구멍(68)과 서로 대응할 수 있는 핀홈(76)을 갖는다. 또한, 스핀들(30)의 슬릿(36)들에 스토퍼(80)들이 출몰 가능하게 장착된다. 이 스토퍼(80)들은 스핀들(30)의 제1 관통구멍(38)과 슬리브(60)들의 핀구멍(68)을 통하여 스핀들핀(70)들의 핀홈(76)에 진입할 수 있는 제1 핀(82)과, 스핀들(30)의 제2 관통구멍(40)을 통하여 스핀들(30)의 열쇠구멍(32)으로 진입할 수 있는 제2 핀(84)을 갖는다. 스토퍼(80)들을 슬릿(36)들 내로 진입시켜 스핀들(30)의 회전을 허용할 수 있도록 실린더(10)의 슬라이딩홈(14)에는 슬라이더(90)의 슬라이딩돌기(94)가 끼워진다. 그리고, 스핀들핀(70)들을 정해진 해제 높이에 위치시킬 수 있도록 열쇠(100)의 상면에 산(102)들과 골(104)들이 연속해서 형성되며, 산(102)들의 중턱과 정상에 슬리브(60)들을 정해진 해제 높이에 위치시킬 수 있도록 지지턱(106)들이 형성되고, 열쇠(100)의 측면에는 제2 핀(84)의 진입이 허용되도록 핀구멍(108)들이 형성된다. 본 발명에 의하면, 실린더핀들과 스핀들핀들의 협동에 의해 스핀들의 회전이 제한됨과 동시에, 슬리브들의 핀구멍과 스핀들핀들의 핀홈, 그리고 열쇠의 지지턱들과 핀구멍들에 의해 스토퍼들의 작동이 제한되므로, 정해진 열쇠가 아닌 경우에는 스핀들의 회전이 불가능하여 자물쇠를 열 수 없는 것이다. The tumbler can assume an elongated configuaration, wherein the pin (15) and the complementary pin (16) are mutually spaced and can be axially offset angularly with respect to each other, or a shortened configuration, in which they are aligned in mutual abutment and cannot be axially offset. The tumbler, when the key (6) is removed or when a forged key provided with a removed portion is inserted, assumes an elongated configuration by virtue of which the auxiliary pin (15) is kept rested against the inner shoulder and the auxiliary complementary pin (16) at such a level as to allow angular strokes with respect to the auxiliary pin (15) and the engagement of the complementary pin on the outer shoulder, while the end of the complementary pin remains engaged in a notch of the cylindrical seat (3). The key is provided with an elastic element (25) adapted to cooperate with the auxiliary tumbler (14) in order to allow, when the key (6) is inserted, compression in the shortened configuration and disengagement from the notch and consequently the rotation of the plug (4).
