The input shaft is also connected to the outer ring through multiple rollers interposed between the outer ring and the input shaft so that the pulley is allowed to rotate in the connection wire-winding direction. In maintaining the upwardly swinging rear door at a desired angle once it is opened, a solenoid is energized to move a stopper into an engaging groove on the periphery of the outer ring. When the stopper engages the engaging groove, the rotation of the outer ring is restricted. In opening or closing the rear door, the solenoid is de-energized to disengage the stopper from the engaging groove. Consequently, the outer ring is allowed to rotate freely.

The present invention is a bi-parting door system for transit vehicles. It has two doors mounted for movement in opposite directions and a motor for opening and closing them. It has at least one lock having a lock member for locking the doors in a closed position. The lock member is biased toward the locking position and moveable to an unlocking position by an actuator controlled by a control system which also controls the motor. When the doors are closed they experience a biasing force tending to open them and this biasing force is reacted by the lock member to generate a load on the lock member which prevents it from moving as a result of a spurious signal to the actuator. Unlocking of the doors requires a door closing signal to be received by the motor to remove the load from the lock member, as well as an unlocking signal to the actuator. Hence, the doors cannot be opened by any one spurious signal to either the motor or to the actuator.

The actuator for a vehicle charging port door according to the present invention comprises: a housing having an inner space, a through hole formed in a bottom surface; a rotating shaft erected vertically and mounted in a rotatable structure inside the housing, the lower end of which is exposed to the outside through the through hole and connected to the rotating shaft of the vehicle charging port door, and a flange is formed at the middle; a clutch gear formed in a ring shape surrounding the middle of the rotary shaft and seated on the flange; a clutch plate formed in a ring shape into which a middle portion of the rotary shaft is inserted and seated on the clutch gear, an inner wall of which is coupled to an outer surface of the rotary shaft to rotate integrally with the rotary shaft; elastic means for applying an elastic force to the clutch plate in a direction toward the clutch gear; and a driving motor for rotating the clutch gear.
