The mounting plate for furniture hinges has fastening plugs fitting into round bores in the furniture wall. The fastening plugs are hollow and have serrations on their circumference. These plugs are expanded by an expanding body and the anchoring arrangement ensures high anchoring forces. The expanding element is designed so that it expands the fastening plug and this expansion profile is also in contact with the wall of the hole so that it ensures an additional clamping force in addition to its expanding action. The metallic expansion element ensures stronger grip than use of plastic components. The openings in the fastening plugs (2,3) are both arranged on their facing side or on opposite side of the plugs. Both expanding elements (4,5) are connected by a web (6) to form a unit. This unit is provided with a common screw.

During a closing operation, the protruding portion enters a channel of a side frame member.
