The present invention is a post-mix beverage dispensing valve for accurately maintainig the proper ratio of two liquid beverage components. The present invention includes a valve main body (12) having a gear pump (60) secured thereto. The gear pump includes two sets of oval gears (94, 102). One set of oval gears (94) is in fluid communication with a source of pressurized carbonated water, and the second set (102) is in fluid communication with a source of syrup. The valve body also includes solenoid operated pallet valves (22, 34) for each of the beverage components. One gear of each gear pair is secured to a common rotating shaft. Operation of the solenoid provides for simultaneous opening of both pallet valves whereby the pressurized carbonated water provides for the driving of both gear pairs. The desired ratio between the beverage components is maintained at a constant ratio as a function of the size of the gear pairs relative to each other.

Provided is a screw rotor that dramatically improves the evacuation performance of a pump and sufficiently ensures safe rotation even with dramatically reduced clearance between said screw rotor and a stator in comparison to conventional screw rotors. When this screw rotor is installed in a pump, the tip surfaces (201) of the teeth of a screw-tooth groove part (103) are separated from the inside wall (203) of the stator (106) by a gap, and a PFA film is provided on the tip surfaces (201). The provision of this PFA film as prescribed further reduces the width of the gap between the free surface of the PFA film and the inside wall (203) of the stator (106) in comparison to conventional screw rotors, thereby drastically improving pump performance. Forming the PFA film by means of melting and remelting processes after the application of PFA to at least the tip surfaces (201) of the screw rotor results in a highly smooth free surface.

The coating may be factory or field applied to a new or used twin rotor device. Manufacturing variations of a pair of rotors and a housing may be compensated by the coating. A positive displacement rotary pump with an improved impeller design integrating replaceable wiper inserts. The impeller generally has one or more lobes and an equal number of conjugate surfaces. Each lobe has an arcuate peripheral end comprising a plurality of wiper blades. Each lobe further has a facial wiper blade on each face of the lobe. The wiper blades improve efficiency by making a seal with a pump chamber or the conjugate surface on the other impeller as it rotates. The wiper blades are arranged such that constant and successive contact between wiper blades and impellers is achieved. 1. A positive displacement flow meter includes a pair of smooth oval shaped rotors mounted to a pair of spaced apart rotatable shafts contained within a sealed housing. The rotatable shafts penetrate the measuring chamber and have a pair of toothed, oval shaped timing gears located in a separate gear cavity chamber which are responsible for synchronizing and maintaining the relative orientation of the smooth faced rotors with respect to one another. The fluid that is being metered forms seals between the rotating surfaces of the rotors, as well as between the rotors and the wall of rotor chamber, thus the inlet and outlet plenums are physically isolated and are consequently not in direct communication at any point during the rotation cycle of the rotors. Thus, each rotation of the rotors results in the transport of a precise and known volume of fluid from the inlet plenum to the outlet plenum. A magnetic sensing/counting system, which includes an magnetic actuator attached to one of the rotor shafts and a magnetic sensor mounted to the flow meter housing, monitors the rotation rate of the rotors and hence the flow rate of the fluid passing through the meter.
