A dual mode flush valve includes a handle assembly having a handle, a bushing and a plunger. The bushing has a sleeve with a passage therethrough for mounting the plunger for sliding and tilting. The passage is defined by first and second partially overlapping bores that coincide at the inner end of the sleeve and are spaced one above the other at the outer end of the sleeve. The bores define a horizontal plunger travel axis and an angled plunger travel axis. Depending on which direction the user actuates the handle the plunger will travel along one of these axes. Travel along the angled axis will lower the plunger tip, allowing earlier clearance of a relief valve and a reduced flow through the flush valve compared to actuation with the plunger travel along the horizontal axis.

The fluid control valve comprises: a valve seat constituting a part of a valve chamber; a valve body that is installed in the valve chamber and moves in a contacting/separating direction with respect to the valve seat; an actuator configured to move the valve body; and a plunger that transfers power of the actuator to the valve body. The valve body and the plunger are in contact with each other via an inclination suppressing protrusion configured to suppress an inclination of the plunger, the inclination being caused by contact between the valve body and the valve seat. 1. A fluid control valve comprising:a valve seat constituting a part of a valve chamber;a valve body that is installed in the valve chamber and moves in a contacting/separating direction with respect to the valve seat;an actuator configured to move the valve body; anda plunger that transfers power of the actuator to the valve body, whereinthe valve body and the plunger are in contact with each other via an inclination suppressing protrusion configured to suppress an inclination of the plunger, the inclination being caused by contact between the valve body and the valve seat.2. A fluid control valve includes a cover portion and a body portion. Inner surfaces of the cover and the body portion define a chamber that includes an inlet and an outlet in communication with the chamber. The cover portion includes a central section and an inversion inhibitor circumscribing the central section. The inversion inhibitor projects into the chamber toward a central axis of the chamber. The fluid control valve also includes a diaphragm disposed between the cover portion and the body portion. The diaphragm has a flexible member that is disposed within the chamber for controlling communication between the inlet and the outlet. The inversion inhibitor prevents the flexible member from reaching its natural-inverted position and creates a force within the flexible member that urges the flexible member to a seated position. In the partially inverted position, the upper surface of the flexible member conforms to at least a portion of the inner surface of the cover portion to define a passageway that permits communication between the inlet and the outlet.

In one embodiment, a valve body contains a flexible valve sleeve between a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, and an annular chamber around the sleeve connects with the inlet so that fluid pressure in the chamber normally compresses the sleeve to a closed position. A manually operated pilot valve reduces pressure in the chamber so that the sleeve is expanded by fluid pressure from the inlet to open the valve. In another embodiment, a valve body contains a flexible diaphragm which normally closes an inlet valve port and defines a pressure chamber isolated from a fluid outlet. A manually operated pilot valve reduces pressure in the chamber so that the diaphragm is unseated from the inlet port by fluid pressure from the inlet to open the valve.

The filter ring has a plurality of outwardly directed circumferentially spaced filter grooves. There is a seal ring between the filter ring and the body and facing the grooves. A peripheral chamber is bounded by the seal ring, the filter ring and the body, with water reaching the peripheral chamber by passing through the filter ring grooves. There is an orifice connecting the peripheral chamber and the pressure chamber.

Depressing the button (14) lowers the magnet (29) whose radial projections (30) slide in grooves (26) in the head (11) until free (31). It is then turned by teeth (28) in the button and locks between two grooves. A piston (22), pulled up by magnetic attraction, releases a plunger (21) sealing a flexible diaphragm (20) dividing the delivery chamber in two (18, 19). Water introduced into the upper part (18) through a bypass (15) flows into the outlet (16), the pressure drop allowing the inlet water to raise the diaphragm and discharge. Pressing the button again turns the magnet; it returns and a spring (23) shuts off the water flow.
