The sealing material includes a bulb part which is composed of a first bulb, a second bulb located closer to the inner side of the socket than the first bulb, and a narrow part present between the first and second bulbs. The first bulb is pressed against the inner circumferential surface of the socket. The second bulb is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the spigot. The second bulb is inclined towards the pipe center from the first bulb in a natural state before it is provided between the socket and the spigot. The inner diameter of the second bulb is smaller than the outer diameter of the spigot in the natural state. The second bulb is extensible in the pipe diameter direction due to elastic deformation of the narrow part.

The invention relates to the sealing of detachable joints of the pipelines and manifolds by using metal elastic gaskets. A detachable stationary sealing device comprises the flanges having sealing surfaces, being tapered for one of the flanges and concave for another, a sealing gasket and a retaining releasing ring. The gasket is provided with elastic tabs being in contact with the sealing surfaces of the flanges, and an annular projection, the inner cylindrical surface of which is in contact with the outer cylindrical surface. The retaining releasing ring is of C-shaped cross-section and is fixed in the annular groove made on said cylindrical surface of the flange. The annular projection of the gasket is provided with the transversal external projection that fits into the groove of the retaining ring. The use of the invention reduces dimensions while increasing its reliability.

If the sealing and adhesive watertight packing is combined with a ring-shaped concave groove of a pipe and then is inserted into the pipe, the watertight protruding band, formed on both edges of the outer surface of the connection ring, is curved to the outside while being connected to the watertight protrusion to have dual sealing force. The curve watertight connection protrusion, formed between the band and the protrusion, touches the inner surface of the connection pipe to be compressed and then expanded and detained, so the curve watertight connection protrusion is strongly attached to and supported on the inner surface of the connection pipe in order to enhance a watertight effect.

To allow the fluid to be supplied in the fluid reception part even if the end part of the curved part is in contact with the internal surface of the body by a pipe inserted inside the body, a first fluid hole to communicate with the fluid reception part is formed in the end part of the curved part. According to the present invention, since the packing member includes the fluid reception part which is a space to receive the fluid leaked in an initial stage, the fluid is absolutely prevented from being leaked out. Moreover, as the fluid leaked in the initial stage is received in the fluid reception part, the pressure due to the fluid is increased, such that sealing is reinforced to continuously prevent the fluid from being leaked out. PURPOSE: A sealing member and a pipe employing the same are provided to ensure high deformation resistance and installation stability because a hard guide frame and soft rubber are integrated through insert molding. CONSTITUTION: A sealing member(10) comprises a ring-shaped hard guide frame(20), a soft watertight ring(30), and a smoothly deformable part(22). The guide frame has a tapered surface on the inner perimeter and a joint portion. The watertight ring is coupled to the guide frame to cover the joint portion and has inner and outer tails(31,32) formed at an interval. The smoothly deformable part is formed on the leading edge of the guide frame in the shape of groove, slot, or aperture.

The cast-iron pipe coupling accommodates straight tube at both ends. The coupling has conical housings at each end in which are 'V' shaped or chevron sealing rings. Between the two halves of the coupling is a spigot (8) which serves as a stop for the two tubes T1,T2). When the tube (T1) is inserted in the coupling, the chevron sealing ring is deformed to form a water-tight seal. The assembly has sufficient flexibility to allow each tube to be introduced at an angle not exceeding 7 degrees with the axis of the coupling, without affecting the integrity of the joint. These couplings are for pressures up to 5bar.

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There are disclosed two embodiments of an apparatus for releasably latching the lower end of a tubing string within the bore of an upstanding well conduit by means of latching parts adapted to be received in latching position beneath a shoulder in the bore of the well conduit. The latching parts are locked in latching position by locking means which is engageable and releasable in response to manipulation of the well string. The latching parts are moved into unlatching position, upon release of the locking means, without necessity of sliding contact between the latching parts and the shoulder. There are also disclosed two embodi-ments of a seal ring clamped within a groove about a stinger portion of the apparatus for sealably engaging the bore of the well conduit.

The sealing ring is intended for use with joints in ceramic or concrete pipes and is suitable for fluid pressures of up to two bars. The sealing ring has a U-shaped cross-section with a rib (3) extending radially inwards. The rib (3) has a thin lip (4) on its upper surface and a thicker lip (11) on its lower surface. The U-shaped part of the ring fits over the edge of the bore of the female pipe (1). The deformation of the arms (8, 10) creates radial forces (f1, f2) which ensure a good seal against the pipe walls. The male pipe (5) deforms the rib (3) as it is inserted into the end of the pipe (1). The thin lip (4) is pressed against the wall of the pipe (5) and the thick lip (11) presses the arm (2) against the bore of the pipe (1).

The flexible joint is made from an elastomeric material and has an annular rim (1) with a sealing lip (3) extending in the axial direction. This lip has a barrel shaped longitudinal section, curved outwards to seal and grip inside the water closet pan entry (4). The rim (1) fits flush against the end (7). Another sealing lip (8) is moulded inside the curved lip, concentric with it and extending in the same axial direction. This lip is angled inwards to form a cone and is used to seal round the outside of the flush pipe (9). Misalignment over a range of sizes can be accomoodated.
