The invention relates to the installation of pipes, for example aircraft fuel pipes and fuel systems, in an aircraft. The invention further relates to guidance tool for restricting the potential angular misalignment between the axial centrelines of a pipe end and corresponding socket arrangement during a pipe installation process. The guidance tool may comprise a sleeve and a clamp. The clamp may be configured to removably engage the sleeve with an external surface of a pipe end, such that at least part of the sleeve and pipe end may be inserted into a corresponding socket arrangement. 1. Fluid-based no-moving part logic devices are constructed from complex sequences of micro- and nanofluidic channels, on-demand bubble/droplet modulators and generators for programming the devices, and micro- and nanofluidic droplet/bubble memory elements for storage and retrieval of biological or chemical elements. The input sequence of bubbles/droplets encodes information, with the output being another sequence of bubbles/droplets or on-chip chemical synthesis. For performing a set of reactions/tasks or process control, the modulators can be used to program the device by producing a precisely timed sequence of bubbles/droplets, resulting in a cascade of logic operations within the micro- or nanofluidic channel sequence, utilizing the generated droplets/bubbles as a control. The devices are based on the principle of minimum energy interfaces formed between the two fluid phases enclosed inside precise channel geometries. A method for joining high pressure ducts comprising:a pair of ducts to be joined together, the ducts having a configuration with a plurality of sides;providing a plurality of first bar members, said plurality corresponding to the number of sides of said ducts, each first bar including a first member having a surface for securing with a first duct, a second member extending from said first member, said second member having a surface for securing with a coupling mechanism;providing a plurality of second bar members, said plurality of second bar members corresponding to the number of first bar members, each said second bar member including a first member having a surface for securing with a second duct, a second member extending from said first member, said second member having a surface for securing with the coupling mechanism;permanently affixing said plurality of first bar members to said first duct;permanently affixing said plurality of said second bar members to the second duct;coupling said first and second bar members together with the coupling mechanism by sliding said coupling mechanism onto said first and second bar members such that ends of said coupling mechanism mate with surfaces of said second members of said first and second bar members; andjoining the ducts together.2. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising welding said first and second bar members to said first and second ducts.3. The point of the invention is to improve the distribution of waste water or effluent over a sewage treatment system based on irrigation of a plantation. Typically the effluent may come from a septic tank overflow and needs to be fed evenly into a number of discharge pipes that would be located underground in a percolation area. 1. A device for dividing a flow of fluid matter , for example effluent or sludge , over a plurality of outlets whereby said device consists of a container , an inlet at top and outlets at the bottom , through which the fluid flows by gravity , via a vertical spout , on to the centre of a fluid spreading surface , which is curved in a convex manner to make the descending fluid spread radially and uniformly towards the surface's outer edge into said outlets or into collection chambers , with outlet pipes connected , underneath said edge , thereby dividing the fluid evenly over said outlets.2. Systems and methods for securing a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to a subsea structure during cleaning, maintenance, or inspection of the structure surface are provided. In one or more embodiments, an attachment mechanism includes a pair of grasping hooks that are raised and lowered when driven by a motorized drive. In one or more embodiments, an attachment mechanism includes a rigid holder having a mechanical stop and connected to a swing arm, the swing arm configured to rotate inward, but not outward beyond the mechanical stop. In one or more embodiments, an attachment mechanism includes a plurality of linked segments in series, each connected at a plurality of pivot points. A pair of wires passes through the plurality of linked segments and connects to a pair of pulleys that extend or retract the wires, thereby rotating the plurality of linked segments.

A method for performing operations using a water environment robotic system on a target section of pipeline located in an underwater environment is provided. The method includes the steps of deploying the underwater robotic vehicle into the water and visually inspecting the underwater environment to locate the pipeline and its plurality of weld joints. A cleaning operation is performed at one of the plurality of weld joints using the underwater robotic vehicle. The robotic vehicle can land on the sea floor and deploy a robotic arm to inspect the cleaned weld joint. The underwater can then swim to a next weld joint and land and perform cleaning and inspection operations, which can be repeated until all inspection sites are inspected. 1. A method for performing operations on underwater infrastructure at a plurality of locations using a water environment robotic system , comprising steps of:a) providing an underwater robotic vehicle at a position proximate the underwater infrastructure;b) moving the underwater robotic vehicle through the water to one location of the plurality of locations of the underwater infrastructure;c) performing a first operation on the underwater infrastructure at the one location of the plurality of locations;d) manipulating the underwater vehicle to engage with a subsea surface;e) performing a second operation on the underwater infrastructure at the one location of the plurality of locations;f) moving the underwater robotic vehicle through the water to another location of the plurality of locations of the underwater infrastructure;g) repeat steps (c) through (f) until all desired operations are performed at all of the desired locations of the plurality of locations; andh) retrieve the underwater vehicle.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first operation is a cleaning operation and the second operation is an inspection operation of the previously cleaned first location using a non-destructive sensor.3.
