A protective seal removably fits onto the top of coil fins of a condenser unit for an air conditioning system. The protective seal has a U-shaped cross-sectional configuration that allows the protective seal to fit over and completely cover the entire top edges of the coil fins and to extend partially down the front and rear sides of the coil fins to cover an upper portion of the front and rear sides of the coil fins.
