In certain embodiments selected of the control loops may be thermodynamically coupled by way of thermal interaction between the various cooled compartments rather than being electrically coupled. The control loops may be individually configured as one of a proportional, proportional-integral, or proportional-integral-derivative control loop.

A passive vacuum relief valve for an ultra-low temperature freezer. A thermally conductive tube extends through a freezer cabinet wall and opens into the interior cabinet space. The tube also extends outwardly from the cabinet wall in thermal exposure to ambient air so that it can receive heat from the ambient air. A valve enclosure has a chamber opening into the tube and is also positioned in the ambient air. A check valve, preferably a ball type, is formed in the valve enclosure and is polarized in a direction permitting ambient air to flow through the chamber and the tube into the freezer cabinet. A method for reducing a temperature of a product in a freezer includes providing a product to a chamber of the freezer; dividing a portion of the chamber disposed between a pair of baffle assemblies in the freezer into an intake zone and an outflow zone; moving each baffle assembly of the pair of baffle assemblies in the chamber 90° degrees out of phase with each other for directing a gas flow in the chamber; oscillating the gas flow within the chamber between the intake zone and the outflow zone during the moving the pair of baffle assemblies; injecting a cryogen substance into the chamber for cooling the gas flow; and contacting the product with the cooling gas flow. 1. A method for reducing a temperature of a product in a freezer , comprising:providing a product to a chamber of the freezer;dividing a portion of the chamber disposed between a pair of baffle assemblies in the freezer into an intake zone and an outflow zone;moving each baffle assembly of the pair of baffle assemblies in the chamber 90° degrees out of phase with each other for directing a gas flow in the chamber;oscillating the gas flow within the chamber between the intake zone and the outflow zone during the moving the pair of baffle assemblies;injecting a cryogen substance into the chamber for cooling the gas flow; andcontacting the product with the cooling gas flow.2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:removing a portion of the oscillating gas flow from the chamber; andestablishing a temperature gradient across the chamber during the removing.3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising controlling the injecting of the cryogen substance claim 2 , the oscillating gas flow and the removing a portion of the oscillating gas flow for providing the temperature gradient across the chamber.4. A storage container includes an inflow hole and an outflow hole through which cold air flows, and deodorizing filters for removing odorous materials are mounted in the inflow hole and the outflow hole. Therefore, when foods containing odor-causing materials are put in the storage container to be stored in a storage compartment, the odor-causing materials are prevented from spreading inside the storage compartment, thereby fundamentally removing odors from the storage compartment. In addition, the cold air of the storage compartment continuously flows in and out of the storage container through the inflow hole and the outflow hole, and therefore foods stored in the storage container may be kept fresh. 1. A storage container comprising:a lower case whose upper surface is opened;an upper case detachably coupled to an upper portion of the lower case to cover the opened upper surface of the lower case, and coupled to the upper portion of the lower case to form an inner storage space together with the lower case;at least one inflow hole that is provided in at least one of the lower case and the upper case to enable outside air to flow into the inner storage space;at least one outflow hole that is provided in at least one of the lower case and the upper case to enable air of the inner storage space to flow out of the inner storage space; anda plurality of deodorizing filters that are respectively mounted in each of the at least one inflow hole and the at least one outflow hole.2. The storage container according to claim 1 , wherein a gap between the lower case and the upper case is sealed so that the outside air flows into and out of the storage space only through the at least one inflow hole and the at least one outflow hole.3. The storage container according to claim 1 , wherein the deodorizing filters are detachably mounted in each of the at least one inflow hole and the at least one outflow hole.4.
