The backlight module is provided with elastic hooks on a first surface of the housing, and the elastic hooks are tightly engaged in a second surface of the back plate, so that it only needs to form the openings on the back plate without punching or riveting to form thread stubs. A UV lighting process is performed to expose the flexible substrate film and the release layer not covered by the UV blocking mask patterns, to a UV light. A debonding step is performed so that the various portions of the flexible substrate film directly above the various portions of the release layer, which were not exposed to the UV light, are separated from the carrier substrate.

The present invention provides a flat panel display device and a stereoscopic display device. The flat panel display device includes a backlight system and a display panel. The backlight system includes a reflector plate and a back frame and the back frame carries the reflector plate. The back frame includes at least two primary assembling pieces, the at least two primary assembling pieces being joined to form a main frame structure of the back frame; and the reflector plate has a bottom containing a metal net for preventing electromagnetic interference. With the above arrangement, the lat panel display device and the stereoscopic display device of the present invention have a backlight system, which has a back frame having a simple structure, saves material for the back frame, and reduces the cost of the back frame. Further, the present invention arranges a metal net on a bottom of a reflector plate for preventing electromagnetic interference so that the flat panel display device and the stereoscopic display device that use a joined back frame of the present invention can achieve the purpose of preventing electromagnetic interference with an easy manner and thus further reduce the manufacturing cost of the flat panel display device and the stereoscopic display device.

A method of manufacturing an active retarder includes forming a first substrate, forming a second substrate, and forming a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate. The forming of the first and second substrates is performed by a roll-to-roll process. 1. A method of manufacturing an active retarder for a display apparatus , comprising:forming a first substrate;forming a second substrate; andforming a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the forming of the first and second substrates is performed by a roll-to-roll process.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the forming of the first substrate comprises:preparing a first base film;forming a first transparent conductive material on the first base film; andpatterning the first transparent conductive material to form a first electrode on the first base film, and wherein the forming of the second substrate comprises:preparing a second base film; andforming a second transparent conductive material on the second base film to form a second electrode on the second base film.3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the first transparent conductive material and the second transparent conductive material are coated by a wet process.4. The method of claim 2 , wherein each of the first transparent conductive material and the second transparent conductive comprises at least one of indium tin oxide (ITO) claim 2 , indium zinc oxide (IZO) claim 2 , or silver nanowire (AgNW).5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the first transparent conductive material is patterned by a laser etching process.6. The method of claim 2 , wherein the forming of the liquid crystal layer comprises:forming a spacer on the first substrate;forming a sealant on the first substrate;dropping a liquid crystal on the first substrate;positioning the second substrate to face the first substrate; andcuring the sealant.7. The invention provides a middle frame for an LCD device and an LCD device. The middle frame for an LCD device includes a receiving part corresponding to a light incident side of the LCD device, and a buffer part which is fixedly connected with the receiving part and corresponds to the non-light incident side of the LCD device; the receiving part is made of hard material, and the buffer part is made of flexible material. In the invention, because the middle frame is divided into a receiving part and a buffer part, the buffer part is made of flexible material and can be directly used for clamping the light guide panel to position the light guide panel, and the receiving part is made of plastic material which has certain hardness. Thus, the planeness of the whole middle frame can be kept. Furthermore, the position of the receiving part corresponding to the light source is made of plastic material and has certain high temperature resistance. The conventional middle frame is generally injection molded by plastic. However, the die for injection molding has the disadvantages of long manufacture cycle and high cost. The receiving part and the buffer part of the invention can be respectively molded, thereby simplifying the die structure, and favoring cost reduction.

We describe a wide band variable transmission optical device, mixtures for use in such a device, and methods of making the same. The wide band optical device includes a cell comprising a guest-host mixture of a liquid crystal host and a dichroic guest dye material contained between a pair of plastic substrates. The optical device does not use polarizers. The liquid crystal host has an axis orientation that is alterable between a clear state orientation and a dark state orientation perpendicular thereto and the dichroic guest dye material includes one or more dichroic dyes. The optical device is characterized in that it exhibits a wide absorption band that is greater than 175nm within a visible wavelength range of 400-700nm and has a clear state transmission equal to or above 30% and a dark state transmission equal to or below 40%.
