The image search requestor is an abstraction layer that translates user or agent search requests into the language understood by the ROI query.

High-precision local search is performed on the Internet. A map image-rendering software provider embeds spatial keys into maps, which are then provided to producers of Internet content such as map providers. For example, a homeowner may post a message on a web bulletin board advertising his house for sale, and including a map showing the location of the house. When a search engine's web crawler encounters a page having a spatial key embedded in an image, the spatial key is indexed with the other content on the page. Because the spatial key identifies a small geographic area, indexing the content with the spatial key allows search queries to be limited by area and still provide useful results. Thus, a user of a search engine searching for “house for sale” in a specific area will be directed to web pages that meet the geographic and content search terms.

Technologies are described for enhanced target tracking through augmented reality (AR) in a surveillance environment. Complementary augmented reality features may be provided for enhanced connection between a control center and security personnel in the field. A target person to be tracked in a surveillance environment may be identified and whether a face of the target person is visible to a security personnel determined. If the face of the target person is at least partially not visible to the security personnel, augmentation information associated with the target person may be determined. The augmentation information may be provided to an AR device associated with the security personnel to be displayed by the AR device in conjunction with the target person. Additional information such as background information associated with the target person or analyzed mood information may also be provided to the security personnel. 1. A method for enhanced target tracking through augmented reality (AR) in a surveillance environment , the method comprising:identifying a target person to be tracked in a surveillance environment;determining whether a face of the target person is visible to a security personnel;responsive to a determination that the face of the target person is at least partially not visible to the security personnel, identifying augmentation information associated with the target person; andproviding the augmentation information to an AR device associated with the security personnel to be displayed in conjunction with the target person by the AR device.2. An object recognition ingestion system is presented. The object ingestion system captures image data of objects, possibly in an uncontrolled setting. The image data is analyzed to determine if one or more a priori know canonical shape objects match the object represented in the image data. The canonical shape object also includes one or more reference PoVs indicating perspectives from which to analyze objects having the corresponding shape. An object ingestion engine combines the canonical shape object along with the image data to create a model of the object. The engine generates a desirable set of model PoVs from the reference PoVs, and then generates recognition descriptors from each of the model PoVs. The descriptors, image data, model PoVs, or other contextually relevant information are combined into key frame bundles having sufficient information to allow other computing devices to recognize the object at a later time.

Today, artificial neural networks are trained on large sets of manually tagged images. Generally, for better training, the training data should be as large as possible. Unfortunately, manually tagging images is time consuming and susceptible to error, making it difficult to produce the large sets of tagged data used to train artificial neural networks. To address this problem, the inventors have developed a smart tagging utility that uses a feature extraction unit and a fast-learning classifier to learn tags and tag images automatically, reducing the time to tag large sets of data. The feature extraction unit and fast-learning classifiers can be implemented as artificial neural networks that associate a label with features extracted from an image and tag similar features from the image or other images with the same label. Moreover, the smart tagging system can learn from user adjustment to its proposed tagging. This reduces tagging time and errors. 1. A computer-implemented method of analyzing tags associated with a sequence of images presented to a user in response to human-machine inputs made by the user to present a current interest of the user , the method comprising:presenting, via a display of an electronic device, one image from among a plurality of images, the one image representing a physical object and being associated with one set of tags from a plurality of tags, each tag of the one set of tags describing or characterizing attributes of the physical object represented by the one image;receiving, via a user interface of the electronic device, an input by the user indicating a preference for the physical object represented by the one image;processing, by one or more computer devices, the plurality of tags based on the preference and the one set of tags to determine a next set of tags from the plurality of tags;determining, by the one or more computer devices, a next image from the plurality of images associated with the next set of tags, the next image representing a physical object, different from the physical object represented by the one image, and the next ...

An image processing apparatus, an image processing method, a program, and a recording medium storing the program capable of extracting, from an input first image group, an image similar to an image extracted from a reference image group are provided. A first image group including a plurality of images of a user is transmitted to an order reception server. A second image group similar to the first image group is searched from a plurality of reference image groups stored in the order reception server. An image similar to an image previously extracted from the second image group is extracted from the first image group.
