A system and method is disclosed that allows multiple casting devices to work together to populate a large display screen according to the subject matter disclosed herein. The system includes a receiving device that includes two or more screen-cast receivers and a controller. Each screen-cast receiver receives from a corresponding casting device at least a portion of a frame of original content of the corresponding casting device generated in a native resolution of the corresponding casting device. The controller synchronizes each received portion of the frame of the original content of the corresponding casting device to form a video output signal that comprises a combination of each received portion, in addition to any internally generated content derived by the receiving display. A casting device may be a smartphone, a tablet, or a computing device, such as a laptop computer.

Upon determining that the figure is moved by the operation in the same direction at a speed exceeding a threshold, the apparatus calculates, based on the position-information, first position-information indicating a position at which the figure is expected to be after a lapse of a first time from a current-time where the first time includes a time taken for communication between the apparatus and the server, and transmits the first position-information to the server. Upon receiving, from the server, information of an image on the screen which is obtained by executing the application program based on the first position-information, the apparatus displays the image. 1. Methods and systems for content resolution adjustment for passive display devices are described herein. Passive display devices such as a passive magnifying device (e.g., a screen magnifier) or a projector (e.g., a built-in mobile phone projector) are useful in enlarging photos, documents, videos, etc. for view for small-sized small-screen device screens. However, optimal content resolution for the small-screen device screens may not be optimal for the passive display devices. Particularly, when a small-screen device receives content from a remote computing device, the initial content resolution may not be optimal even for the small-screen device screen because of low transmission speed and/or low bandwidth of a connection with an original data source. Content resolution adjustment is provided in this disclosure by determining distance between the passive display device and the small-screen device, calculating magnification ratio for the passive display device, and adjusting the content resolution based on the calculated magnification ratio. 1. A method of controlling an image display device includes: transmitting a communication section setting command from a computer to a projector using wired or wireless communication is established, determining whether the projector communicates with the computer using the wired or the wireless communication in the case in which the projector receives the communication section setting command, updating communication section setting information so that the projector is set to a first operation state in which only the wired communication is enabled in a standby state in the case in which it is determined that the communication is performed using the wired communication, and updating the communication section setting information so that the projector is set to a second operation state in which only the wireless communication is enabled in the standby state in the case in which it is determined that the communication is performed using the wireless communication. 1. A method of controlling an image display device , comprising:establishing connection with one of a first communication method and a second communication method between a control device adapted to control the image display device and the image display device;transmitting a predetermined command from the control device to the image display device after the connection is established;determining whether the image display device communicates with the control device using the first communication method or the second communication method in a case of receiving the predetermined command;updating setting information so that the image display device is set to a first operation state in which communication using the first communication method is enabled and communication using the second communication method is disabled in a standby state, in a case in which it is determined that the image display device communicates with the control device using the first communication method; andupdating the setting information so that ...
