A therapy system includes a diagnostic image scanner ( 12 ) that acquires a diagnostic image of a target region to be treated. A planning processor ( 70 ) is configured to generate a patient specific adaptive radiation therapy plan based on patient specific biomarkers before and during therapy. A first set of patient specific biomarkers is determined then used for the determination of a first normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) model and a first tumor control probability (TCP) model. A radiation therapy device ( 40 ) administers a first dose of radiation to the target region with a protocol based on the first NTCP model and the first TCP model. A second set of patient specific biomarkers is determined. A relationship between the first set and second set of patient specific biomarkers is used to determine a second NTCP model and a second TCP model. The radiation therapy device ( 40 ) administers a second dose of radiation to the target region with a protocol based on the second NTCP model and second TCP model.

A self-contained RFID-enabling drawer module includes a probe antenna to introduce a robust EM field into a container within a Faraday cage to activate RFID tags within the container, regardless of the container's resonant frequency. The RFID-enabling module is self-contained in that it needs only power and a data connection with which to operate. Where an Ethernet is used, power is obtained by PoE. The RFID-enabling module may be used to retrofit existing medication drawers of a medication cabinet or may be used during the construction of a new cabinet. The RFID-enabling system includes auto tuning of the antenna to dynamically compensate for loading changes on the EM field. Assembly and testing costs are reduced and serviceability of the system is increased.

A comparison is made to verify that the right medication is mounted to the infusion pump for administration to the right patient. RFID devices may be used for the data devices and readers. Pump programming data may also be propagated to the infusion pump from the container RFID tag. The RFID device at the patient may be writable and may be used to store a patient MAR.

By limiting the lexicon, the accuracy of the optical character recognition may be increased. The lexicon may be further limited by determining a diagnosis and/or treatment or imaging modality for the patient and selecting a lexicon limited to orders associated with the diagnosis or modality. The recognized order is then implemented by the computerized order entry system.
