According to at least one embodiment of the invention, the tripping mechanism includes a camshaft having a plurality of cam lobes, wherein at least one actuating device is associated with each cam lobe having an offset rotational angle, and wherein, when tripped, at least two actuating processes associated with the respective actuating means take place consecutively, so that the full spring force is transmitted by way of the camshaft to at least one of said actuating means so as to perform the relevant actuating process.

A method for producing a voltage for an electric motor of a drive of an electrical switch includes producing a DC link direct voltage from a supply voltage and producing the motor voltage by pulse-width modulation of the direct voltage. A tolerance range for changing the direct voltage is specified, and an actual value of the direct voltage is continually measured. After first measuring the actual value, it is stored in a voltage variable. After each additional measurement, it is checked whether the deviation of the actual from the stored value lies within the tolerance range. The actual value is stored if the deviation from the stored value lies outside of the tolerance range. After each storage, a duty cycle of the pulse-width modulation dependent on the actual value is calculated, and the pulse-width modulation occurs with the duty cycle. In accordance with an embodiment, the manual winding device includes a rotatable latching disk, a latching pawl arranged next to the disk, and a manual actuating device connected to the latching pawl. The latching pawl is guidable into a latching toothed portion of the disk. The pawl is also capable of moving, owing to an actuation of the actuating device. As a result, the disk is capable of rotating along a preset desired rotation direction for tensioning the spring. The latching toothed portion is asymmetrical and a force transmission from the pawl onto the disk is possible along the desired rotation direction. The disk slides along the pawl when the disk rotates along the desired rotation direction more quickly than the pawl.

Air circuit breaker switching mechanism comprises two side plates, main drive shaft, main drive shaft arm, first tie rod, spring switching on device, loading cam, loading cam spindle, third tie rod, actuating arm, spring rest pin and end part held by means of spring rest pin, and elastic displacement spring of the third tie rod containing end part held by spring rest pin, and working part providing resilient force for the third tie rod to rotate in one direction. Elastic displacement spring of the third tie rod directly provides resilient force for the third tie rod in order to minimise distance between actuating arms of the pair and hence to minimise switching mechanism in its width. Elastic displacement spring of the third tie rod is made as torsion spring. Torsion spring may contain two end parts held by spring rest pin.
